Well, I thought I might as well start by posting some of my older works. I'll be posting them one at a time, unless things start getting too weird in my life. These are available on my deviantART as well: My devARTUntitled DarknessThe darkness is falling Somewhere a spirit is calling Sired in the depths of Hell A demon of great power fell Rises to where humans dwell Living off evil, his power swells An angel of Heaven's bright halls Sent down through Earth's lonely walls Frightened, to the sky she weeps for all The God of Death stands tall and pale O'er the demon he will prevail With deep voice one servant alone he will hail Of visage pale and countenance fair A girl of shadows standing there Her master's dark sword will she bear All the ages of time she shall not wear Death and demon together faced Amidst a ring of shadows placed Within the middle of worlds sacred A place where all evil is based Curious, the angel draws near On seeing her, Death feels something queer A thing called love which greatly did he fear With chains of darkness the angel was snared Pained Death was, but still prepared The girl stood by, brave but scared The great battle ravaged the unholy place Pain was evident on every face The was none left, the thing called grace A surprise attack the demon flung To her master's aid the girl sprung The balance for life on a thread was hung the touch of Death, it deeply stung The angel now wept tears of blood Planting a flower's offspring, a bud Filled with hate, only it survives the flood They battle sword, tooth and claw Out of balance they threw the law All wounds from new battles raw And the two battled on still Almost equals, trying for the kill It all depends on the strength of will Although both have power great to spend Their destiny can not bend And so, one alone will stand in the end

Different- Version One
Walkin’ through the crowded halls Hearin’ the whispers following everywhere, “Different! She’s different from us!” Wearin’ black shirts and cutoff jeans, crosses and glasses Black claws for nails, a sweatshirt for a shroud. “Different!” A bump in passing. “Watch where you’re going, b***h!” A murmured response, no more than a sigh “Different!” Not talking, only sitting, staring at nothing and everything A blank gaze looks through the universe within. “Different!” Dark hair, dark eyes, dark lips, pale skin All strangers to this world. “Different!” Eyes chocolate brown burn with a mysterious fire Dark energy surrounds, but never consumes.
Walking out, finally free, but still silent, no emotion Some say she’s an angel, others a devil, but all say, “Different!” A flash of steel, a line of blood A tongue to catch the falling drops. “Different!” Swirling ecstasy, coming back to earth Just from that small taste of life’s wine. “Different!” Watching the ground moving along, Walking alone, always alone. “Different!” Somebody calls, no one is home Lost to the world, always alone. “Different!” A body moving through the world, Always wandering, always wondering.
A familiar face, a pause in stride Recognition shows in those burning eyes. “Different!” Long dead emotions begin to thaw A human being starts to emerge. “Different!” Blonde brown hair and light blue eyes say hello A pale hand reaches out to support. “Different!” A reassuring smile, a worried frown, icy eyes all around Show signs of a power awaking inside. “Different!” An intense silent conversation initiates And problems are exchanged and solved. “Different!” A small smile appears and the sun shows its face Only to be swallowed up by the moon’s pale glow. “Different!” Two who understand each other walk away together They look to the stars for something much better.
Different? Different? Yeah, that’s me. But the same as everyone else in some way. Those who cry out, “Different! Different!” Are the same as those in a cave long ago, Being fooled by shadows. But then one broke free and opened her eyes to see. “Different!” Can you guess who it was? It was me, Different to the very end of time.

Different - Version Two
Walking through the crowded halls Like passing through a flowing stream Dark hair, dark eyes, dark lips, pale skin All strangers to this world Eyes burn like fire, staring into space A moving statue always watching Moving through each timeless day A crowd staring, jeering, screaming Like little children at a circus She bears their hate with a blank mask Energies shift subtly around her Rousing the beast within Only one can tame this beast of rage One of darkness, pale Death A calming touch and back to sleep And she is back again, a living statue Traveling through the ages of time Together, but alone always traveling Different for all eternity But at the same time, always the same

Thoughts
Thoughts… Maddening and evil A dark prison Tormenting the soul Comforting in its own way Deceiving, waiting
Time is lost… The prison is breaking Undetectable More dangerous now Emotions trapped in A vacuum, forgotten No way to return
Holes appear Shadows grow stronger Unbearable primal thirst Prison demons wait for The time to escape
CRACK! The release No recollection of time No thoughts, only instinct No pain…
Time returns to normal As you look down at the blood Tears fall, but no sadness No remorse, no feelings No guilt…nothing

Going out of order, but I wanted to post this one now before I forget it...
Untitled (working title)
Confusing That's how you feel to me Confusion Sadness Pain I don't know how To make you whole again
Sadness Your torn heart How many times Have you split it now? The silent face of time Has lost count
Pain That's what you're causing Yourself Your love And everyone is lost Lost in the
Confusion Of a split mind And heart The body rejects All forms of comfort
Waiting That is what we do Helpless Unable to assist As you self-destruct In flaming utter
chaos...

An Angel
Forgotten one, sitting alone Why do you wait for answers that do not come? Alone in the darkness, dispel the shadows And keep trying to put your life together With floating pieces, though you grow weary Someone is near you always, Sitting, Listening, Watching, Waiting, Waiting for the day they can finally show you The truth that’s revealed inside. So lost one, all alone, wrapped up in shadow, Shadow caused by the littlest star, have faith! The heavens rejoice with the light of The star and they sing But even in singing, they do not forget you, O lonely creature of darkness. ‘You are Not ready,’ the little star says, ‘Just wait!’ Ask you ask yourself why you wait And go back to the puzzle that is your life Someone is watching you. Guess who? An angel.
For Charles...

Fate Can Be Cruel
Turmoil and pain Thoughts of betrayal Race through his brain As he sits, silent as stone No emotions are shown Though a mask still reveals The pain that he feels And no one can understand
His friends say they’re sorry And strangers just sigh As he sits and waits for Someone to die But inside him, the person That no one quite knew, is in pain Is suffering, dying too
One visitor stays, when others just scoff She says she understands While others do not She tells him of emotions That she locked away And would never break free, No matter what they say
And still he sits as his fate is sealed And she waits as well, faithfully true They wait for the time of judgment to come As it draws closer, the mask falls away And all emotions are there, plain as day
Though he tries not to show it, He’s scared, as is she Memories appear, but she cannot turn back They stand in the face of the onslaught together They will not let the inevitable happen But are they strong enough? Fate can be cruel

I Will Find a Way
Is there anyone out there Who can hear my plea? I have been asking it Of you endlessly
When I looked you in the face and then I asked my question yet again You said you didn’t understand You turned away and left me to stand
Alone in a void full of darkness I was trapped in a whirlpool of Hate and loneliness. No one to Talk to, nobody cared
So waiting for you in the darkness A shadow entered and enveloped my heart It asked me why I waited for one who Would never come again
I spurned it, ignored its poisoned words And continued to wait patiently for you I waited through eternity, trying To ignore the shadow’s vile taunts
Finally I saw that the shadow was right And gloating, it received my body and mind Suddenly, there was another in the void One I could relate to, confess and cry to
For another eternity, we became friends And then you appeared beside me again You were angry with me for waiting You said that I was stupid for staying
You tore out my heart and Ripped it to shreds, laughing As I wept tears of blood. You Slaked your thirst in my pain…
I fell back and hit the sky Like Jeanne D’Arc, consumed by Flames and voices, driving me Insane, while staring at you. And yet…
I’m still drawn to you, your Dark and terrible power over Me is growing stronger, It is hard to resist…
You call me, soulless, to your side Tell me to die and I will die Tell me to lie and I will lie Tell me to love and truly I will try
It’s not always easy, living This life, but I do it every day And please believe me when I say I’ll do it through eternity and I will find a way.

It's My Turn Now
It's my turn now Oh friend of mine To laugh at your pain
To smile as you weep You realize what you Could have gained
A friend who was always there Someone to listen to your Tales, worries and cares
But you turned away and I disappeared far from Your darkness and dispair
Who is the one shackled now? My chains to you are broken And now you sit where I once was Your bonds to me, just a token
A token of unforgotten love That lasted through the years And all the pain you caused to me The ridicule and tears
So now I'll fly away My friend and leave you With these thoughts:
Although I stayed true While others came forth In time, I believe, you will rot
You will rot in these chains You have made for yourself And I will watch with glee
So farewell, my friend I'll see you soon My soul to you I'll send

Reflection
Hello once again. Do I know you? Are you me? Am I you?
Why? Why do you look different from me? Is there Something wrong?
Older? Wiser? Younger? Weaker? Why are you different? Aren't we the same?
Your face seems colder And your eyes darker Your limbs are stronger Your skin is like marble
So ask once again As I know I always will: Why are you different? Aren't we the same?
I rasie my hand to touch Your face. You reach out And do the same. We're At each other's throats
Do you want to die? If I die, you will too... Or will you live on, the Sad reflection of a memory?

The one sonnet I have ever written, for a creative writing class...
A Night Together
Still of night, all is quiet The silhouette of a silent kiss While all around us was a riot In the middle of a fiery abyss
As we sit beneath the trees We reminisced on a sunny June Like a pod that has two peas Or dead roses in need of a prune
The moon shone down like a crystal Lighting up the silver bar That is the barrel of my pistol Or the neck of my love's guitar
So we sat, talked and brooded And as the sun rose, we concluded

Written for a Poetry Slam at Bumbershoot, our local arts festival in late summer.
You Never Cared
The night has grown so cold The stars have all stopped shining Alone among the millions I cry my final wish
I thought you were the one, The star amidst the darkness But you left me all alone I scream away the loneliness
You hurt me deeply inside Passing me over I just came along for the ride
I see now, you never cared for me How could I have been so blind? Not to see the rage and pain? I hate you, and I loved you
But you never noticed You never cared for me

Trapped
Here I sit, trapped By my own pain Pain of the body And of the mind
My mind lead me here And I am bound by Chains of memories An endless string
The sound of your voice Repeats in the soundtrack Of my mind, a lonely tune Sad but damning too
My flesh cries out Why have you hurt me so? What did I do?

I Built My House...
I built my House in darkest Night Where none live to tell Of my pets that are not of the Light Great demons of deepest Hell
I built my House in brightest Flame Where souls recieve their life This beast of mine is hard to tame Pestilence, Hunger, Death and Strife.
I built my house in deepest Sin The Homonculi have come for my kin Ouroborous-Snake their sigil As they continue their endless vigil
I built my House in Abyss so wide The flames so hot I must have died The tongues of fire twist and wind Slowly they consume my mind...

Rain on Se-Alth-La
Gray- Nibiiro Gray of the 5th Interstate Muted light reflected Off of concrete giants Rain keeps falling, rhythm and flow
White- Shiroi White of our tall tower with The revolving dome and The faceted arches of the Science Center Rain keeps falling, rhythm and flow
Black- Kuroi Black of the two bridges over The inland ocean, Lake Washington and Broadway's alternative path Rain keeps falling, rhythm and flow
Red- Akai Red of Pike Place's neon signs The roof of Franklin, my fortress school Both bustling with activity Of students and shoppers Rain keeps falling, rhythm and flow
Green- Midori Green of Seward Park, the Untouched Peninsula Like a turtle's shell, basking On our ocean's shores Rain keeps falling, rhythm and flow
Pure- Junsei Pure are my thoughts as I Think of Se-Alth-La, the Friends I left behind in the Emerald City's gray Rain keeps falling, rhythm and flow
Blue- Aoi Blue is my mind as memories fade Dorothy, you're not in Kansas anymore This pace is Oz, but Kansas Is never far away, so Rain keeps falling, rhythm and flow
