So, what's your favorite genre of anime?
Mine would be... something that at least has a little bit of everything. xd I could do without the gorey horror stuff, though.

Humor.
Almost any anime that has humor will catch my attention.

Like MidRose said - humor. That's the basis for it. And if it has action it has to be creative. Other than that...just as long as it's not off-hand dumb stuff or excessively romance-based, I like it.

A lot of animes have at least a little humor, so you guys are good there.
I guess humor is a little important for me as well, I wouldn't want to watch an anime that was too sad and/or serious.
As for romance... well... you can barely find an anime without it! xd
I go for the more action-y types. I'm getting sick of seeing a bunch of animes based on school and teenage drama. xD

Don't have a particular favorite genre, I just love good stories, with good characters. I really don't like melodrama though.

Or one that you want to burn because you read it once. If you want to know what I'm talking about go to fanfiction/net and find the hellspawn called PAint me a sky. That was just one too many for me.

i like shojo/comedy.
i can't help if i like the girly drama filled ones... sweatdrop
if you like shojo/comedy, hana-kimi by hisaya nakajo is a great read. even some of my dude friends liked it rofl
it's not too dramatic, and the humor in it is super 3nodding
