Saki was walking home from school and walked past a storefront and stopped. The sign read :
Black cats need homes too, please come and adopt today!
She waltzed into the store and eyed the selection of black cats carefully. She found one that had some orange spots that reminded her of her friend's roommate. "I'll take this one please," Saki said to the storeclerk, pointing at the orange spotted cat.
Saki filled out the papers and bought cat food and cat toys, and was prepared to leave.
"Alright, here you go," the storeclerk said, handing the cage containing the cat to Saki.
Saki peered into the cage and smiled. "I'll name it Kyo, for Tohru's sake," She said to herself.
Saki walked out of the store and continued on to her house, where she let herself in and went up to her room. She let the cat out of the cage to wander around her room.
"This is your new home Kyo," Saki said to the cat.
"Meorw" was all the cat said, but it stared into Saki's eyes and they connected somewhat mentally where Saki could feel what it felt and truly bond with the cat.
She broke away from the stare and hugged the cat. She petted it then decided she would go out for a walk. She said bye to the cat before heading out the door onto the street.
