I might have a fileserver lying around, but it lacks an operating system, and it's slower than something incredibly slow.

Sorry. I'm running off of a canabalized laptop myself- the screen and keyboard don't work, so I had to hook it up to a moniter and a nonimdeded keyboard, and use the mouse on the laptop. I'm pretty sure my father dug it from his office's old parts room a day before Christmas. I'm grateful anyway, since he's stopped breaking in for fun and reading my outgoing packages.
