Deep, deep, within a gigantic woodland forest of the current day world is a beautiful kingdom completely encased in an invisible, magical force-shield. Nobody can enter...or exit it. The people of this Kingdom, this kingdom called Midnight, know nothing of this shield that they are living in. They simply go about their daily lives as normal.
In Midnight, the people live as if they lived in the medieval times. There are no cars, or any electricity. Some people are rich, some are poor; they have their own little society. Midnight is ruled by King Stanford and his Queen, Patricia. They have a feisty elder daughter named Lily, and a younger daughter named Shasta. They are both learning magic, and combat.
But, in Midnight...evil lurks around every corner.

The rules are simple:
1. Follow Gaia ToS
2. Be courteous to others, and please no godmodding
3. There is no limit to characters, but do not hog all the main characters, or choose too many characters that you cannot keep up with
4. Stick to the plot of Midnight Magic (nothing like 'a space ship crashed')
5. Do not, I repeat, do NOT RP anyone from the 'outside' world. This RP is not meant to meander to the world outside Midnight. That's the whole point - a little world unto itself.

PLOT --The basic plot is explained in the Intro. But, here is more of the plot, and what this RP is really all about. If you have RPed in the earlier Midnight Magic RP, the original, I just want to let you know that this RP is starting over. So, don't pick up where you left off. I know, this can be confusing, but the slate is wiped clean. Anything acn happen! The main villain is Coletta, and her best friend Agatha. They are evil witches who would do anything to take over Midnight. For example, they captured the King and held him hostage. (That has happened in the original RP.) The main heroine is Lily, whom is the main character. Lily has many teachers and instructors, such as Lucille her magic instructor, and Caleb her combat instructor. Don't forget Oliver the animal tamer! (Just to let you all know, Lucille and Caleb were a 'couple' in the original RP, and had a love-hate relationship...LOL! So, you may go along with this if you like. Caleb doesn't use or like magic.)) I will add any more information here as needed. CURRENT PLOT:I will put the current plot here.The Autumn Banquet is starting! Finally, a banquet with no trouble for King Stanford's people...or is it so? The credits goes to me, Otulissa. This RP was the first RP I had ever created on Gaia. I did it in a roleplaying Guild, but got banned. It was my favorite RP. Now that I really miss it, I have decided to start the RP over...again. In here. smile This is not really a roleplaying guild, and all the pre-made's will probably not be filled up...but all the same, I feel this is one of the best places to 're-start' the roleplay. I lost the link to the original Midnight Magic thread.. sad If anyone finds it, please send me the link! Anyhow, I will continue looking for the original so I can post the link here. smile We RPed in it quite a bit...
In the original RP, there were no made-up's. xD It was the first RP I made, so it was way different in style than the ones I make now. In this RP, I shall change the set-up from the original. The pre-made's used to look somewhat like this: Lily, Princess of Midnight, smart and feisty (F; age 16) Basically, part one is name, part two is title or role, part 3 is a short personality trait(s), and part 4 in parentheses is the gender and age. I know, quite primitive...but now, I will set it up differently! (look at the earlier posts)

Princess Lily strolled through the wide castle corridors without a second thought. Her long hair flowed in elegant wisps behind her head as she walked, and she paid almost no heed to the guards at every hallway's end. Through the open, shutterless windows of this castle wing, the dawn's first glimpses of sunlight shone through in parallel rays of golden bliss. Lily smiled at the beautiful sight. She was wearing her favorite blue silk dress this morning, with a pair of long earrings with gold posts and silk dangles. the dangles were matching her hair ribbons, which were of medium-length. Her simple, golden tiara was backed by a bold red ribbon which reflected the early morning light in shimmers and sparkles. Around her waist and hips was a thin, and fancy, belt-like sash from which hung her sword. She had a better, more sturdy, leather belt...but today was the day her parents didn't want her to dress 'sloppy.' It was the day of the autumn banquet. They were to have feasts, practically all day, and Lily remembered with a sigh, No classes... She loved her classes! Basically, her mother taught her 'basics' like recreational knitwork, and reading and writing. But, Lucille taught Lily her magic classes...which was a lot of fun. Caleb taught her combat classes, which was not as fun, but just as exciting. Then, of course, there was Oliver, the Royal Stablehand. During Caleb's classes, sometimes they would go to the stables and Oliver would show Lily how to ride a horse and fight extravagantly at the same time. Oliver wasn't the 'fighting-type,' but he definitely knew the best way of riding horses with heavy weaponry and such!
Oh, how I love my classes! Lily thought with a wistful smile. Not that I don't like banquets....It simply gets boring sometimes!
Lily quickly approached the Banquet Hall, which was actually a connected part of the Royal Throne Room. At the moment, the Banquet Hall was lavishly decorated with hand-woven quilts and tapestries by Midnight's humble talents. The chandelier hung from the roof top, the candles un-lighted at the moment. The people who lighted the candles were usually magic-using servants, which were quite few. There was Gregory, yes, and Melissa. Anyhow, Lily loved the way the chandelier's lighting looked during the night, the warm, fuzzy glow making everybody else warm and fuzzy...or at least, that's the way the Princess perceived it. She was cut off from her deep thoughts and daydreams by a voice.
"M'lady!" Melissa called with a curtsy." Lily nodded, slightly puzzled. "M'lady... shan't you be in your quarters, or with a bodyguard?" Melissa appeared to be quite concerned.
"Why...?" Lily asked in a low voice, glancing around suspiciously.
"Well, you know what happened last month, Your Highness..." Melissa replied with a forlorn look.
Last month. How could Lily ever forget.
Last month, Coletta sent some minions over to kidnap her, but luckily, she was in the middle of her magic class and Lucille, herself, and Sunray fought Coletta and her minions off. But, of course, Coletta would probably be plotting something horrid soon... Soon enough...
Lily replied, "Yes, yes, I know Melissa! But...I survived, didn't I?"
"Yes...but you know how Coletta is. She doesn't make the same mistake twice."
"But, I could fend for myself..."
"Not with Shadow, Your Highness...with all due respect..." Melissa said softly, her eyes averted.
Lily shivered at the thought of the gigantic, evil dragon who was Coletta's loyal 'steed.' As if Shadow could deserve the title of a steed! Melissa decided that enough was probably enough, and that it was probably best not to worry the dear Princess. Melissa curtsied fluidly, and then backed away, headed for the kitchens to work some magic. "Magic" meaning "quick cooking" to help the chefs out.

(The only reason I made the Outcast is it was actually Sunny's character before. xD And she said if I ever make the thread again, she wants me to RP her. smile I have kept my promise...sort of..xD

Coletta was lounging on a dark violet chair, in her true form, in her sky-bound lair. Shadow was right next to her; the room was massive and open.
"Misssstresssssss..." Shadow hissed softly. "What are you planning...?" The black dragon knew that look on Coletta's face. A smile curled her lips tight, and Coletta glanced around.
She got up from the chair with elegance, and transformed into her favorite disguise. Her thin, black hair shifted into a flurry of long, blonde layers. Her light-grey eyes sparkled with a newfound beauty - deep, blue hued eyes with thick, alluring lashes. Her figure grew tall, and her body appeared more eloquent. Coletta's gloomy, though beautiful, black and grey dress transformed into a light blue gown and sparkles glittered up her hair as a tiara of sweet-scented blossoms adorned her head. White gloves with gold trim and White high-heeled boots finished the look as soft mist and sparkles cleared away with the finishing touches. "Remember this disguise?" Coletta inquired playfully with a eerily cheerful smile.
Shadow chuckled rambunctiously and replied, "Yess...yesss...How could I ever forget?! You sssshould change the name though...ugh...that name annoyed me ssso."
Coletta listed out loud, "Aldessa, Claudia, Triss, Laka, Laurette, Lillian, Meredith, Nadine, Tanya, Vanessa, Aethalia...you take your pick. All of them are approving to me."
"Hmm..." Shadow actually put some thought into this. "Either Aethalia or Vanessssa." Shadow thought some more. "Vanessa. The name is mysterious, yet filled with wonderment. It means 'star,' you know. You are definitely one."
Coletta replied, "Vanessa it is." She pointed at Shadow, and soon the dragon was transformed into a gorgeous, pure-white horse with onyx eyes and a lustrous bridle and genuine leather saddle.
"Noooooo!!" Shadow whinnied. "Not this disgusting form!"
Coletta mock-glared at Shadow and brushed back a few strands of her blonde hair with a sniff. "Get used to it. It's all part of the plan. Last time you were in this form, you were not used to it...and you acted more like a dragon than a horse-steed."
Shadow whimpered softly, but decided to obey her master.
