Alrighty,so I assume we're basically all New England people, judging by the guild and all that. So, as you've probably noticed, the fall season is upon us. This means apple cider, pumpkins, and "foliage." In other words, leaves. What is your opinion on these? Do you enjoy the colors? Do you travel to see them? Do you hate it when people park on your lawn to take pictures?

As a Vermonter, we have lots of "leaf-peepers" or people that peep at our leaves. We don't mind this, as long as they are courteous, polite, and don't stop in the middle of the road for photos. I personally enjoy the colors, but some people are weird. [Once, I had this guy stop me during one of my walks so that he could take a picture of me with the mountains. I'd never even met this guy. ((As a side note, he had a REALLY nice SLR camera)) It was creepy.]

I take pictures and send them to my aunt in California and my friend in New Jersey, who is currently claiming that the leaves only change color AFTER they hit the ground and he misses our climate. (He lived here for a while, but moved in August)

So let's hear your autumn-y thoughts.

Have a nice autumn everyone!

Yeah, I personally like the changing of the leaves. Though when I first heard that people actually come up to New England to see it, I didn't believe it. =P

I love Halloween. Though I don't like the changing of the seasons so much, mainly because I usually catch a cold er something.

It just shows how dull the outdoors must be in the rest of the country.

I do like the scenery here, but not just in autumn; all year 'round.

It's one reason why I won't move to where the jobs are (NYC)

Yeah...trust me, I'm in other parts of the world right now, and the colors aren't anything compared to what I'm used to from Vermont. I'm starting to understand why so many people go there in the fall for leaf-peeping season. Never realized how good we have it.

Yeah! I didn't think it was true either, that people actually traveled to New England to see our leaves. Ooh, leaves, oh boy! I mean, I enjoy the orangey colors as much as the next New Englander, but I wouldn't travel to see leaves! Unless I really liked trees or I was a tree scientist or something. Ah, well, everyone has their likes and dislikes, New England foliage being one of the likes..

I. Love. Pumpkins.

I have this crazy obsession with them. Wanna talk about creepy? LOL

I'm an artist, so during the Autumn season I'm drawing and painting pumpkins with surrounding foliage and maybe a few of the other autumn fruits and vegetables surrounding. They really accent the pumpkin in the most marvelous way. whee

Of course, my favorite thing to do in Autumn in pile up all the leaves and jump right in (and pray to God there are no spiders hiding within). What can I say? I'm a kid at heart. =3

Oh! And who doesn't love haunted hay rides and visiting Salem, MA for Halloween?!
