DiGiTaL dEvIl
A band crossing orchestral movements with heavy metal and techno, the band has appeal to many, but sometimes puts people off because of the strange combination. The band has been around nearly 20 years and, whilst enduring shame and fame in their ups and downs, the original members have stuck together and continued to produce their own genre.
The debut album, "The Saga of the DiGiTaL dEvIl" and the hit single "Nocturne" has made it's influences in the music of more recent bands such as Pi=3 (Read: Pi equals three), and Terran Troopers.
DiGiTaL dEvIl was slated to release their album "Seraphina, My Love" under the name "Rambling Sphere", but when lead singer The Doctor's girlfriend, the Princess Seraphina died, the band quickly rearranged an entirely new album and released "Seraphina, My Love" as a tribute to the altruistic woman. "Rambling Sphere" wasn't released until many years afterwards.
The album "Farewell to the DiGiTaL dEvIl" was released as the farewell tour of the band started. The single from the album "The DiGiTaL jEsUs Comes" was an ode to their fans and suggested a possible ressurection. Contracting conflicts and artistic differences threatened to break the band apart, and it did, for 2 years. However, "The Summoned DiGiTaL dEvIl" was produced, somehow, in secret and released to a shocked and awed world. Not only had DiGiTaL dEvIl managed to record a comeback album without anyone knowing, but the album featured music that cut through to the heart and left the world in an musically orgasmic state for years afterwards. To date, "The Summoned DiGiTaL dEvIl" is still holds the honor of having the most albums sold.
The subject matter of the songs range from love songs to songs of despair. Some are religious based, but not always in a positive light.
The most recent "Prayers" album received much hatred from the Church of Terra for their scathing criticism of the practices of Piety Payments (the allowance of a church member to pay the Church BEFORE commiting a sin).
