The Room
(No, it's not in the shop. Sadly, the shop's a bit too small. I don't know where it is. Make up some place, if you like.)
It is obvious that someone has had a bit too much time on their hands, as the entire huge place is decorated in Halloween-party style. Orange and black streamers line the tops of walls, and some snake out, to criss-cross across the ceiling. The walls are draped in some sort of black fabric, but in the dim lighting, its hard to tell just what sort.
There are tables around the sides of the room, the sort of tables that line front hallways, and whose sole use seems to be to display knick-knacks. Items are indeed on display upon these tables as well, but they are of a less benign nature.
Miniature skeletons, ghosts, ghouls. Tombstones and a hooded figure with a scythe--death, the grim reaper, whatever the name, the meaning is clear.
Goblets and glasses of varying shape, but all of similar style. Some have spiderweb patterns on them. Some of them have a base that looks like a skeletal hand, which supports the cup itself. There many others, all of a similarly eerie style.
Also on the tables, more inviting in nature, is enough food to feed an army. Pizza and bowls of popcorn, liters and liters of soda. Cookies, bowls of candy, pretzels. Lemon bars, brownies, rice krispie treats. Nearly almost every sort of food imaginable--some in a Halloween theme (such as the bat shaped cookies, or the bowl of candy corn), but many are not.
From some hidden place, sounds are being played. Ambient noises of shrieks and moans, howls and groans, rattling chains, plodding steps, and rasping breath. But these noises serve only as "atmosphere". What is more readily heard is the music being played (rather loudly). The songs all vary greatly in style, going from techno, to 80s rock, to classical composers, to hip-hop, and every other genre imaginable. The only things the songs have in common are fairly fast tempos, and a strong, 'dancable' beat.
The center of the room has been left clear of tables, chairs, cushions, and everything else, except for some hanging decor (such as the life-sized skeleton in the exact center of the room), furthering the impression that one of the main attractions of this place is the dancing.
Near the walls, though, chairs and cushions (all in a black and orange color scheme) have been arranged around the room, for when the dancers become tired, and wish to rest.
However, dancing is not the only thing this place is intended for. Beneath the tables, and in the corners, out of the way for the moment, are various other party games.
But those are for later, after everyone has assembled, and finished their Trick-or-Treating for the night. For now they will stay where they are; hidden out of sight.
A sign hangs near the front entrance, directing people to where they wish to go:
