Heroes (as well as villains) will have the strength of their abilities gauged on a ranking scale of 1-5. Most players will start at rank 1 unless they can present me with a character worthy of a higher rank.

Advancement is as follows-

1-2: Must participate in 2 fights with another player character. Win or loose, you will advance to the next rank.

2-3: Must win 3 player character fights after reaching Rank2.

3-4: Must participate in 2 more player character fights, which you are not required to win. AND experiance a life changing revelation/catharsis to be discussed ahead of time with an admin. (Just run it by us and we'll give it the OK if it looks good.)

4-5: Rank5, being the highest, is reserved for players who have proven themselves in the span of their story. Said rank will be rewarded without warning by an admin, so don't ask.



:These are just some suggestions that everyone should try to keep in mind while role playing:

- Keep in contact with fellow guild members. Try to organize certain events and interactions to make for a better story and an entertaining read.

- Stick to the setting. Different heroes will have different origins, but none of those origins should intersect too heavily with the current setting.

- Try and establish preexisting relationships with other characters. Doing so allows you to jump right into character dialogue.

- You can't always win. When creating a fight with temporary NPCs, don't 'always' expect to win the fight.

- When role playing a fight with another character, collaborate between each other to decide who will win ahead of time.

- You're welcome to make 'citizen' characters as attachments to your hero/villain, but profiles for said characters are to be added to the main character they are associated with.

- Be creative, but try and work within a 'comic book' super hero ideal.

- Be willing to kill any of your characters at any given time.

- Remember that most of these characters will have their own inner conflict, so if nothing is happening....inner monologue.

- Try to be a team player. Nothing will happen if everyone's a hard loner.

Alter Ego : Refered to as Dr. J when he is masking his apperance with hypnotic suggestion.

Age: 73

Powers : Jute is a compitent Zenobiologist amoung other sciences. His psychic abilities are well developed, specializing in telekenisis and hypnotic suggestion.

Origin: Alien

When it happened: In his ship observing the species of the Earth.

Appearance: Jute is 6'9'' and rather lanky. His skin is dark green and chitanious with ridges on his back,arms and legs. His chest is covered pectoral like plates that are light in color. His head is much like that of a mantis only the large gel like nodes on the sides of his head are not eyes. His eyes are the black beedy dots closer to the center.
Costume-He generally wears his lab coat which is lime green and composed of a loose shirt, pants and a vest that holds several pockets. He sometimes wears a large pancho, or other forms of human fashion that catch his eye.
Hypnotic suggestion- He sometimes takes the form of a balding, gray haired old man with wrinlked skin.

Position: Familiar with the resistance, but neutral in her dedication.

Age: 19

Powers (limit is 3): 2 weapons and a power. Phantom dagger, and a diamond necklace. Power is known as the Lotus Power. (Rough description: Necklace has powers of the elements that is limited by her energy and strength, and THAT is based sometimes on her emotions. Phantom Dagger phases through everything but the target. Lotus Power, limited godly strength for any target. When influenced with Lotus, all fresh wounds heal as well.)

Origin: Lived her life in a place now in ruins, once called America.

When it happened: She did all she could, but something held her back during the crisis. She dosen't talk about it unless she trusts the person, which takes a while.

Appearance: Ill color it sometime

Hero Name: Scanner (rarely used, even before the conflict)

Position: None; however, she has been repeatedly invited to join the resistance.

Alter Ego: Naomi Katherine Wilson

Age: 32

Powers: ESP. Her main power is empathy, but she can perform minor telepathy and retrocognition, especially if strong emotions surround a person or place. Physical contact with a person or item can strengthen her readings from that object.

Origin: Born with it.

When it happened: On the battlefield, amidst bottomless despair and horror.

Appearance: Naomi is about 5’4” and has short, pale blonde hair with wispy ends. Her eyes are a light green. She has round facial features and very little muscle on her body. Before the conflict, Naomi could almost always be found wearing business--usually a gray-tone suit jacket and knee-length skirt. Such attire has become less practical in the current landscape, but Naomi is still very businesslike--and very picky--about the clothing she wears. Due to the effect physical touch can have on her powers, she almost always wears gloves.

Powers: Weapons master, Strength, Angel Wings
Origin: He doesn't have much memory of his past, but he came from a large city, and crime ran wild through the streets. A group of thugs was chasing him through the streets one day and he was badly injured. Desperate for help he cried out for help, which was granted from above (Sorry if it sounds kinda cheesy >.> i just thought it'd be interesting). When he came to his strength had increased, and he had a natural gift with weaponry as well as a pair of jet black wings.
When it happened: Luke settled in a town not too far from a large port on the Atlantic Ocean. He had sailed in on a ship after just barely escaping capture from a strange group that had been chasing after him. Eventually they caught up to him, and it was then that he decided to fight back.
Appearance: He has long blood red hair, that comes down either side of his face. His eyes are a crystal blue color, and seem to just pierce into somebody's soul. His costume consists of a black overcoat, and a red t-shirt with hisown log o on it. When in his full form a large pair of wings sprouts from his back, and a hooded robe covers his face from view.

Walks through what's called the Dead World, where time is slower then in the normal world, but is exactly adjacent to it. Its like a darker, evil looking version of the real world and you can only barely see the normal humans. Uses it sort of like a teleportation sometimes, but sometimes to see things that humans can't, little secrets...

Origin:
Died and was waken by an experiment gone wrong. He found he could speak and contact the dead and even hold strength that was beyond his power.

When it happened: He woke up from his ‘sleep’ just after it happened.
