This thread is to see if any of you guys are interested in things I am, and hopefully others will be interested as well. If you want to add your own likes to this thread, feel free to do so; who knows, maybe some of us might find some things in common. =)

First things first; existing movies/games/films/books etc.
As it was missed in the thread Rad put it in, I'll put her list here first, as I have similar tastes as her (Ones in blue are ones I like):



There isn't much else other than those things I can think of to add, so...how about the 'genres'/vaguer ideas that aren't specific to a certain game etc.

I like:
Romance. (Of course!)
'Anthro' rps. (Such as: humans being turned into them through 'experiments', or already are 'anthro', and then being sold as pets or something. Also like a wider variety of creatures, even 'mythical' ones like phoenixes/unicorns/basilisks/etc.
Medieval or Ancient Egyptian settings. (Either with or without magic/mythical things.)
'Mythical' rps. Things like vamps/demons/centaurs/merfolk/elves/dwarves and the like, with magic. Normally with this I like the 'conflict' between said mythical creatures and humans.
Pirate rps. But, usually with these I do like there to be 'magic' involved, perhaps even something like the 'mythical' ideas from above being mixed with it.

Anyone want to add...or would be interested in any rps concerning one or several of these topics?

I like quite a bit of those topics, even some of the ones you don't like, Jeir...in fact most of them are the ones you don't like. But, anyways, I guess it would be a good idea to do something like this, but we must remember we don't just have to do roleplays based on other people's ideas. ^_^

I actually sort of had an idea for Legend of the Dragoon roleplay, I've done a one-on-one with Jeir on the story before and it worked out okay, more or less. It's actually based on a fanfiction, but then a really good one.


-spoilers alert-
The fanfiction starts off several years after the end of the game, but it stated the Moon Child is not gone. It actually still comes back and now Dart has to take up the role of the Black Monster as the Divine Dragoon. Because of what happened the cycle became erratic so the Moon Child reappeared sooner and he had to go kill the child. Since no one, even his friends, believed that the Moon Child still exists he is seen as a child murderer and all that...

Anyway, after that time passes until the next Moon Child arrives but people that believe in the Moon Child being good, the saviour of the world start to organise in a 'Moon Cult' and over the years/centuries pretty much takes over the world in a genuine crusade. They're very passionate, even violent in their beliefs. Every time the Moon Child appears they do everything in their power to stop the Black Monster from destroying it. Eventually a very powerful Moon Child appears (as a Wingly child, who after the events of the game started to spread out in the world) and Dart initially fails at destroying her. As she gets older she gets more proficient in Wingly magic, much like, say, Lloyd in the game, and even finds the Dragon Buster as the Moon Cult finds this.

Not only that but some of the old Dragoon spirits were found or forcefully recovered by the Moon Cult and others are guarded by Dart in his possession. At this time, some people are recognised by the spirits as Dragoons and when the Cult finds them they force them to be on their side and stand ready to fight the Black Monster. Dart on the other hand finds and helps out two of the new Dragoons so he has them on their side although they don't know who he truly is, the Black Monster.

So, that's about how far the fanfiction went, it's still a WIP. It might need some work but we actually might be able to use it as a plot, even for people who don't know the game.

Hmm, yes yes, the ideas sound good, I'd kind of like to see a Resident Evil type RP, (I'm addicted now... lol, to the game, I have to watch the movies still).

And, as you can see, I made this an announcement, good job Jeir, this can be really helpful to see what other people are looking for and whatever. ^^

I don't like pokemon, DBZ, or lounges... sorry... but I'm also sorry that you feel this way. If there is anyway to accommodate more of your needs, let me know.

To make up for how bad I feel, I want you to at least read the first post that I made in Empress Dee's lounge to see how it actually starts before making this line about you not interested in certain anime. I mean come on. How are you to know what it is going to be like if you do not try?

Anyone willing to have a go at Rad's idea? Or have any of their own?

That's still a lot more than in a lot of threads around here. My own rp thread is at a stand-still because two people seem to only want to post once every few days. =/
