If you don't already know, DDR stands for Dance Dance Revolution. Its a game that you play with your feet!
I adore the game. I've been playing for close to 6 years now, (since the 7th grade. I'm in 12th now.) and I'm the best among my friends. PM me if you want a challenge! <3 We can play online on SuperNova~ My latest achievement was an "A" on Paranoia Survivor on Heavy. <33!
How about you crazy kids? Have you played the game? Are you good? Personal bests?

When I was younger, my function was to follow my talented friends around in the arcade, put out a hat when they played DDR, and fend off anyone trying to steal the coins people threw in.
I'm about as coordinated as an elephant seal. The only good thing I can say about myself in conjunction to that game is that I've never broken the pad or killed anyone while playing.

While I own one version of DDR, I've never found it to be all that enthralling... I started with Pump it Up in 9th grade (phew, that was like 6 years ago.) I will always feel that PiU > DDR, simply because of the variety of music it offers, plus the mat layout, that seems to allow for more actual "dancing" as opposed to the stepping that DDR forces me in to.
For PiU, my best fastnoter is Turkey March on Crazy, and my best freestyle is either Funky Tonight or Don't Bother Me (known as Caution on DDR) on double/"freestyle."

Wishbone Redemption I'm about as coordinated as an elephant seal. The only good thing I can say about myself in conjunction to that game is that I've never broken the pad or killed anyone while playing. Hmm. I regard that as a mistake. What does that say about me? I usually play on Standard, but I will only play on decent pads. The thin $5 ones that come with the game? Not decent. I prefer RedOctane, and I am willing to drop $90 to get them. My favorite song is Tsugaru. ATM, due to my less-than-perfect coordination and decreasing stamina, I average a B on standard. (Although, in a shining moment of hilarity, I can A it on heavy, and A the Apple Mix on Challenge, on the controller. Hand-eye coordination? Yes. Foot-eye? Not so much.)

Anyone play FFR(FlashFlashRevolution)? It's basically DDR, except on the internet and you use the arrow keys instead of a pad (unless you have a magical one that hooks up to the computer)
I suck at the actual DDR though. I need to compltetly master the begginer mode before I go ahead and do normal mode or whatever. Planning on buying it for the Wii, as that's the system I have.

I got DDR a couple weeks ago. I can do one or two songs on medium but mostly I am still on light.

I haven't played DDR in ages since after Supernova I got fed up with every 10 being a ten-footer based on stupid gimmicks rather than actual difficulty (stupid stops, enough BPM changes that you can shake a stick at, jumps placed wherever they felt like putting them).
Supernova 2 has gotten better, but stuff like NGO Challenge and Dead End's maxed out Groove radar chart dig up the "DDR can only be hard through stupid gimmicks" complaint. Generally, I changed over to In the Groove and Pump It Up due to Konami only letting certain songs be 10s and making songs that were hellish in their other game series being 8s and 9s.
Rainbow Flyer was an 11 out of 12 in IIDX, but a 7 in DDR. Holic was an eight on heavy in DDR, but when it was in IIDX in 3rd style, it was the hardest song around, and it's still a difficult 11 today. Kagerou from pop'n music 11 was a 41 out of 43 in the hell course in its respective game, and now it's a 7.
My problem is that how they go a lot easier on you in DDR as opposed to every other existing Bemani game out there still being made. Hell, even the chart makers are fighting for more freedom in designing charts. In the DDR division in Konami, they tell how hard to make the songs on each difficulty. dukamok from Bemanistyle actually got hired by Konami to make charts for future DDR games, so hopefully he will help in the battle over having more freedom over the charts. Duk is an amazing player and simfile artist, so hopefully they will allow the chart creators make harder charts.
I might be nit-picky, but that's just me.

I'm a beast in the arcade. Probably because the mat doesn't keep moving out from underneath my feet, which is the case when I play it at home. It's terrible. I've never gotten higher than a B.
