Some people say that right and wrong is only an illusion, that there's only a grey area and how we percieve it. However I disagree with that wholeheartedly. I believe that there is always a right descion and a wrong decision and that as imperfect mortals with emotions, we sometimes cannot distinguish between the two. However, this is a thread I'd like to dedicate to trying to figure out if some of the characters' actions are justified in Kingdom Hearts. Yes, we know that the nobodies wanted only to regain their hearts, but does that justify trying to turn people into heartless just to regain there own hearts? Surely perhaps in their minds they'd be able to turn whoever they turned into nobodies back to normal after they gained control of Kingdom Hearts, but is it justifiable?
I digress. In this thread, put a character, whatever heinous action that character did, and then we shall discuss whether or not the action was justified.
Oh, by the way, why I haven't been on recently can be said in one word and a number. Halo 3. But I'm back now.

It doesn't seem to make much sense to say that one disagrees with the concept of a moral 'gray area' and then recognize that many issues of morality have two sides to them. =/
But I like the idea of it.
Personally, I believe that the Nobodies' decision to use others' hearts as their means to build Kingdom Hearts was wrong. Anything that deprives others of their right to exist peacefully is wrong, so in those bald terms, yeah, it was wrong of them to do it. (Not that they care, being conscienceless.)
However, it was also probably necessary. I can think of no other means by which they might have achieved their goals. Furthermore, the fact that people rationalize their actions in this matter shows that it's widely recognized that they had no other alternative, as far as we know, than to act the way they did.
Author Luc Court introduces an interesting spin on it, though: In his retelling, he posits the circumstance that the World that Never Was, and the Nobodies with it, are slowly fading away without hearts to anchor them, and thus that it's necessary to bring a heart to the world and its inhabitants - it's necessary, in other words, to go out and gather hearts. What if the Nobodies were FORCED to have to prey on humans' hearts and attain KH, because otherwise, they were guaranteed to slowly stop existing? That makes things more interesting, and certainly more justifiable from the point of view of the Organization.
