What is your experience with deities? Have you ever spoken to one or invoked them?

I recently just contacted Aphrodite within me. It was simple because she was already there and willing to speak. Her love flowed through me and I could feel happiness again. I didn't speak with her per say, I felt her.

I'm sorry, but why does Christianity seem to hold less validity here than other religions?

because the religion has borrowed farrrrrrr too much from everyone else yet has the nerve to condemn other belief systems. and there are so many b*****d child forms of the religion because of people ******** it up, yet people sit there and when they truly follow it they believe it's the only truth and to preach it. Well, ******** that.

Seeing as religion is a cultural phenomenon, I challenge you to find ONE religion that has not borrowed beliefs. Just ONE. They don't exist, because like language and social norms, they are products of people, and people intermingle.

Secondly, you condemn people's beliefs all the time because they don't conform to yours. You claim to hold the monopoly of knowledge just like Christianity. Also, many other religions claim to hold the truth about the universe and that others are wrong, and will try to convert them, but you single out this particular one? Gee, let me guess. You must be American. Only American (and a few English) teenagers and young adults seem to have this burning hatred of Christianity simply because it is the idol of the society and culture which caused them so much strife. Maybe your issue shouldn't be with the religion, but with the very strange society that adopted it: America. A sexually confused and repressed society with a constant fear about losing their freedom.

i'm not sure that many christians are around today that truly understand and follow what their belief says to

do you see what i mean?
i'm not trying to put down christianity or anything, but there's too many 'posers' around to even begin to find the ones who are actually into their belief.

that's why i said their god is probably fed up with listening to them.

i can say so much more, but not right now.

let me level with you, half of that post was just to irritate you, half of that post was because i have personal reasons for disliking christianity. as far as religions of thsi world go i already view them all as bullshit anyways, i talk to the source, and follow what i can see, not what is in text.

Talk about tangential... Okay, so some of you are prejudiced and stereotype Christians while others are prejudiced and stereotype Americans... Anyone wanna' discuss the actual topic?!

As for deities, I've haven't done too much work with them, but feel a strong connection to Janus, Papa Legba, Chronos (not to be confused with Chronus), Yog Sothoth, Ptah, CuChulainn (I think I spelled it right), and a few others... What were you looking for int the way of having worked with them?

I dunno...I never have worked with them in this life, so I guess I was wondering how you would go about doing that.

that stament raises many question about how christians borrow everything that to me tells me personally that most of the things that happended are real but people have interpreted them in different ways like Yule (holy child born to Divine mother) and so on but from a non-christian or anti-christian it is polotics to a christian it is the coincidence that the other religons beleives in that one event...... it is reiligon you ether beleive or you don't..
