Hackers mostly lead Gaians to outside links, such as the infamous floating Magical Pink Giftbox link. Hackers also keylog (trace the keys you press), and even send Javabots to invade your cookies

Scammers mostly tell you lies about the items you own, or ask for your password.


Part II:
How to avoid

Hackers can be avoided by lurking on forums, posting on guilds you absolutely trust, and if you have been hacked before, AVOID THE CHATTERBOX!

Scammers can't be avoided, unless you are a lurker, but scammers can be differenciated from MODS
-MODS have coloured usernames, and titles under their usernames
-MODS never ask for your passwords, they already have them
-MODS always have good grammar, and good spelling

Guild members' information will be put here along with their username, if they provide information crucial to combat Hackers/Scammers!

wahmbulance Username/password lists for Gaia and other websites have been uncovered on Google gonk to avoid being hacked, LURK, DRESS AS A NOOB, or CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD EVERY FEW DAYS
