Welcome to Gaia! ::

Clarice Bryant was a Londoner through and through, and a beautiful - with twinkling lights - picture of the London skyline hung behind her desk. Everything else in the small office at the Quidditch Pitch was made of round beams of wood, held together with green coconut twine. She had a desk with stool, coffee table with glass top, two lounge chairs with blue cushions facing the desk, and a good amount of brooms mounted on the walls. There were windows on either side of the room, curtained with blue velvet. When sitting at the desk the windows on the right looked out onto the quidditch pitch and the windows on the left looked out towards the lake in the distance. From here the lake even looked a beautiful dark blue.

Name: Dakota Rossetti-Williams
House: Hufflepuff
Year: Fourth Year
Position You Are Trying Out For: Seeker
A Sample RP Of You Playing Quidditch: As the whistle blew, Dakota urged his broom high into the air, scanning the stadium frantically for the tiny flutter of golden wings. If Hufflepuff didn't win this match, they'd be out of the running for the Cup this year. A piercing whistle interrupted his thoughts, and he quickly rolled over in midair, narrowly missing one of the heavy black Bludgers as it hurtled past. Heart beating wildly, he began to circle the stadium as he continued his search for the elusive Snitch, trying to avoid remaining in one position for too long.

I'm really really on the fence about accepting you because your RP sample isn't up to the standards I wanted. You do too much, too quickly and don't focus on any descriptions of anything but moves. I want to be able to see the game, not just get a commentary of it. In the actual games things are not going to go quickly, you're going to have to focus more on making it come alive for readers. I'm afraid I'm going to turn you down, even thought Hufflepuff really needs teammembers. Sorry.

The stadium was so quiet you could hear a pin drop, and the tension in the air was suffocating. It was the first game of the year; Slytherin versus Gryffindor.
'We need to win this,' Romilda thought with her eyes closed. 'There's no way that team of mudbloods can beat us.' She let out a deep breath and opened her eyes. Simultaneously, a sharp whistle cut through the air, and she kicked off from the ground with all the force she had in her body-- she needed to be in possession of the quaffle, and now. She stretched up her arm, her fingers extended, and scooped the red ball against her chest just as it began to fall back to earth. She zoomed out from the mass of Gryffindor chasers, headed for the three giant bubble-wand-like goals at the end of the field. The crisp autumn air filled her nostrils, and tugged at her hair. She frowned a bit, realizing that she would have to re-curl it as soon as the match was over. . . WHACK!
There was a burning pain in her arm, and the next thing she knew she was in a tail-spin. She could just make out another one of the Slytherin chasers screaming below her, and she allowed the quaffle to slip from her throbbing arm. 'For the love of Merlin, please catch it,' she pleaded in her mind. She steadied herself against the pain in her arm, and looked around frantically for the teammate she had been aim to drop the ball to. She cursed aloud, having seen a red and gold clad figure streaking up the field, with an unmistakable shape held under his arm. She slumped against her broom, internally slapping herself for having been so careless.

A Sample RP Of You Playing Quidditch : Kinzo waited for the whistle and as soon as she heard it she raced up into the air. She was once again flying high and free in the greatest sport of all time: Quidditch! She grinned as she quickly scanned the field looking for that beautiful sparkle of gold. Ah! Was that it? She turned her head swiftly to the side only to find that the flash of movement was a bludger heading right for her! The seeker dived downward to avoid the whistling bullet of a ball and began flying in loops around the perimeter of the field. Looking over at her fellow seeker she watched his gaze, but seeing nothing but the usual search she continued on her own. Where are you my little friend? she thought, referring to the golden snitch.

Position You Are Trying Out For :Chaser
A Sample RP Of You Playing Quidditch :As the whistle blew and the balls were released into the air, Steven leaned forward on his broom and caught the quaffle by the tips of his fingertips. He flew under the chasers from Hufflepuff and went into a dive towards the bottom of the pitch. He looked around, quickly taking in the details around him and went into a spiraling move to avoid a bludger. He flew up towards the goal posts and WHAM! he felt a bludger drive into his back, sending him falling end over end. He launched the quaffle into the air as he tried to straighten himself out. "Come on, come on," he thought as he pulled up on the handle of the broom to make himself level before he touched the ground. He felt his feet touch the ground and heard the whistle blow, "Free shot for Hufflepuff," he thought to himself.
