Alright I'm going to recommend something I can't recommend enough. And if you own a ps2 you have no excuse not to get it. The game I'm talking about is Zone of the Enders The 2nd Runner.Yes it may be the second game in the series but I had no problem jumping in without any knowledge of the story. This game is for people who hate how slow paced games are these days. The gameplay is highspeed mecha action. But don't take my word for it.LINK
That about sums it up but there is one more thing the game is made by Hideo Kojima of Metal Gear fame. The best part is you can find it for about $20. Skip over the first game and get this one. Its the best game for $20.
