Sorry this isn't quite Airsoft related, but what is red camouflage used for?

It's been killing me for a week and I haven't found any info about it D:

For hiding yourself in fire? Or maybe in chimneys?

Actually, if you're talking about hunting camo, I heard that bright blue camo works for hunting deer because they have a yellow tint over their eyes, turning the blue into green.

The swiss has an Autumn camo that has a lot of red in it since it lets them "blend in with the forest"

Some places in the world have red soil.

Like Sierra Leone! They say that the red earth is caused from all the blood spilled from fighting over the land.

...I still like the the idea of "hiding in fire" though.

Something tells me that wouldn't be good, even IF it didn't burn you.

But regardless, a lot of red camouflage patterns could be used in brick heavy environments, like industrial complexes. Others, like the red/white/black camo patterns have little use other than to distinguish from different team members in non-lethal combat.

In my opinion I believe the red camo pattern is just simply for aesthetic decorative purposes, like putting it on t shirts and hats and such.

The only real use I can think of for it would be on a wetsuit for an underwater seal assault or something. In that sense, if the colors in the camo are black, red, and grey(white), in a depth where the light became weak(presumably greater than 50 ft) the red would be filtered out of the spectrum and would appear as another shade of black along with the other black and grey splotches.
