The above title isn't the actual title since I haven't found a good one yet. I just thought I would post this and see what you guys think. The rest of the story is in my journal, of course.

Quote:
Natael gazed in wonder at the amont of power Callum had at his finger tips. She had always known he was special. He had done extraordinary things on his way to Massachusetts like instantly quelling an entire forest fire that seemed to spring up after just one small spark in Georgia. He was also accidentally responsible for a Category 1 hurricane becoming a huge and catastrophic Category 5 hurricane in a matter of hours in the Gulf of Mexico because he wanted to save a tiny island that was the summer migration locale for hippocampi, a beautiful cross between a horse’s upper body and a fish’s tail and lower half.

Whatever, Natael dismissed any feelings she had right now. It’s time to get my head back in the game. She narrowed her eyes at the woman and swooped down to meet her. “You die now, Carai!” She yelled.

The woman known as Carai pointed her magical wand at Natael and out of it exploded waves of more of her magenta colored magic. Natael dipped to her left and rolled in the air to dodge the attack and countered with her own. Natael slashed her halberd at Carai and the blade itself broke off and glided down to Natael’s foe, connected by a glowing red chain. As the blade came closer and closer the air around it began to shimmer and glow a deep red. It zipped in and around Carai’s attempt to dodge it and at last made contact. The glowing weapon sliced right through the wicked sorceress’s staff.

Carai stumbled backwards in fear and bewilderment. “B-b-b-but….HOW?!” She cried.
“Our power will always be stronger than yours, Carai of the Nether Region. Leave us at once our you will regret coming here.” Lyrases seemingly walked from from out of nowhere and placed his scimitar just millimeters from Carai’s neck. Knowing she could no longer have the boy, Carai swore and was simply gone.

“Good thing that’s over with.” Callum grinned. “Now we can have some food.”
Natael exhaled deeply. “You really must have food always on the mind. But, then again, what do you expect of children?”

“How many times must I keep telling you! I’m no child!” Callum retorted.
“Says the child to the adult,” Lyrases cut in. “Now, if you must bicker, please do it on your own time. We have business to attend to.” He glanced over to the teenaged boy he had just rescued. What worried Lyrases was that the boy didn’t look terrified at all. The boy before him looked completely enthralled and entranced by their display of magic and abilities. Feeling a bit uncomfortable with the stares he was receiving, Lyarses flapped his wings a bit and folded them neatly behind his back.

“Yeah, business. Hey, what’s your name?” Callum asked in a very friendly voice. His smile was always comforting. He was known around the departed Grigori community for lightening the spirits of those at funerals and solemn community-wide gatherings.

Natael cut off the boy just as he opened his mouth. “Never mind, that doesn’t really matter. All you need to know is that you have to leave with us. Now.” Natael said sternly.

I honestly have no idea what any of this is about. You seemed to have just put in a random piece of an ongoing story without any explanation to it at all. If you can, I would appreicate it if you could give us a little more. Like why they were fighting or who they even are? By the way, sorry for the ultra late response.
