I'm all excited foooooooooooooor:

The Golden Compass - My most favorite of many favorite book seires since I was like friggin' 12. I'm scared its gonna be all 'blah, boring' like The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe was but I will be waiting in line for the first showing anyway.

I Am Legend - I really enjoyed the book, and I wanna re-read it. I can't wait to see how the film modernizes the story or what changes are made.

The Darjeeling Limited - Wes Anderson, ahoy!

Persepolis - Highly enjoyed the graphic novels.

Juno - Looks interesting, and it has a lot of people I like in it.

I'm not going to post any links because I don't feel like... I know how to, but I just don't feel like looking up the sites for the movies and what not... Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuut.... I'm really looking forward to two movies really right now...

30 Days of Night... Just looks cool to me, I really want to read the graphic novel to see what its based off of.

Speed Racer... It was a crappy anime now being written and directed by the freakin' Wachowski Brothers!!!!! That is recipe for genius right there.

I actually loved the Narnia movie, and I never did get around to reading the Golden Compass. It was one of those books on my reading list for ages that I just never got around too.

I will defiantly be in line for I Am Legend.

The Narnia movie was just too... I dunno. Dull? For me. I'm an OK fan of the books (my favorite being A Horse and His Boy), but I felt the film was just... Meh. Not uninteresting but not interesting enough? I don't even know.

I suggest trying to read The Golden Compass before you see the film. SO GEWD. domokun

I actually dispised the book, but the movie was spiffy to me. When it comes to Narnia the only book I liked was as you said 'Horse and His Boy'. The next Narnia movie is coming out pretty soon, Prince Caspian (*sp?). I hated that book the most, but I'll give the film a chance.

I was looking at Golden Compass today, but I chose to buy the new JLA and Superman/Batman trades instead.

Aug, I disliked Prince Caspian the most too. No idea why, just my least favorite book out of them all.

LOL JLA WINS! Kekeke...

That's how I felt! Definitely! I read the books when I was a kid, liked them, but I didn't really like the movie...

What I'm excited for is pretty muchAtonement right now. I've read the book it's based on, and I love it! It's one of the best books I've ever read. And from what I've heard, the movie should be spectacular. It's apparently being called a contender for Best Picture oscar, as well as acting nods. Everything about it is so exciting. Keira Knightley, one of my favorite actresses, is one of the lead roles; it's directed by Joe Wright, who directed Pride and Prejudice; and the music is already sounding spectacular (using a typewriter for rhythm bits)
It's coming out in December in the US (already out in England), and I'm going to see it as soon as I can!

I can't think of much else right now that's coming out soon, but what I'm looking forward to that will be in a LONG time......RedScully, I know you'll appreciate this: News that made me jump around, dance, and squeal

I had Atonement suggested to me a while back but I never looked into it. I think I'll pick it up and read it before I see the film, because it intrigues me! xd

AND OMG RIGHT?! I have, as I'm sure you have, been stalking the production rumors for a second X-Files film for a long time now and I did a happy dance accompanied by flapping arms and laughter - at work of all places - when my boyfriend texted me that it had finally been green lighted. gonk heart

Atonement (the book) is freakishly amazing, in my opinion. I read it everywhere until I finished it, including during breaks at school. One part in particular, though, is kind of sexually explicit. Nothing too bad, mind you, but it's a pivotal scene. I don't really mind, but I kept worrying as I read it that someone would just read over my shoulder.

Still, it IS increadible.

X-Files 2 rumors have been around FOREVER. David Duchovny in particular has been talking about it. And yes, I have been stalking those rumors. So when I found out, I got SO excited!

I've heard that the supposed release date is next summer (late July?), but I kind of doubt it, since shooting begins in December, and THEN there's post-production.... but hopefully it will happen!

Oh man, isn't that annoying/scary when your reading something and it has something "bad" (but not really) in it and you're afraid someone will sneak up and "catch" you? Like, I'll have a comic book at school and there will be a page with sex or nudity or violence and I get antsy because I'm afraid someone will see it and go "Ewwww, you're perveted/gross" or some such crazy. gonk

Heck yes the rumors have been around forever, practically directly after the first movie came out. I knew it was gonna happen soon because, as you said, Duchovny kept dropping hints.

And yeah! I thought that release date was a little early. Either its going to get postponed (which I rather have happen then hasty post-production) or the project is further a long then we're let on to know. The first film was super secretive, so this one will probably be even more so.

Do you think Doggett and Reyes will make an appearance? There won't be any Lone Gunmen this time around though. crying
