bloodball

points: 200 pts for both sides (no vehicles or special characters but monstrous creatures are allowed though wink )

Fluff: a game of dodge ball, but the balls are indestructable and they have really sharp spikes on them... twisted

Mission Objective: kill every opposing model

Deployment/Setup: 30 by 30 inches deployment at edge opposite from the edge your opponent deploys. within 5 inches of the edge is the deployment zone. no unit may go beyond 15" from the your edge of the board

Reserves: no reserves
Game Length: until one side wins
Line of Retreat: no retreat

Scenario Special Rules:
each model does not have to remain in cohenrecy
no assault phase
the game starts with 20 balls in the middle of the board when a model comes in contact of a ball it picks it up (a normal sized model may only hold one ball, but a monstrous creature may hold 2 and throw them both in the same turn and may chose different models to fire at. cool )
each unit is equipped nothing but if they pick up a ball they may use a weapon called a blood ball:
STR: always wounds on a 4+ AP:- RNG: 12" may also be fired 24" but at minus 2 BS.
one use, assault 1, gets hot (its spiked, your hand is holding it, might hurt a bit huh?)
if you miss when throwing the ball you draw a line from the model you chose to throw the ball to the model and continue the line until it reaches some thing, if it hits a model it counts as hitting the model and roll to wound etc. if it hits something else then it scatters 1D6 if it rolls back past the board then reroll the scatter dice.
sometimes teams can get really desperate and attach a grenade to the ball if so then roll to hit like normal and then roll a D6 to see how the grenade blows up:
1-2 blast
2-4 large blast
5-6 flamer template
if you land on the flamer template then roll a scatter die to see in what direction the bomb explodes.
anything that the template covers is automatically hit.
STR:6 AP:- RNG: same as blood ball
one use assault 1, gets hot
if the ball misses then It continues on and blows up next to whatever it hits.
and remember the ball is indestructible so after is blows up the ball still scatters D6

if your to wound roll or saving roll saves you it counts as having a chance to catch the ball, take a leadership test if you pass you count as catching the ball and may take one dead unit and put it anywhere in your deployment zone, if you fail the ball scatters 1 d6 away from the model

I'm thinking of a way to use initiative tell me if you know one. smile

if they miss you should put the ball on the model you threw at then scatter because i think its a little rediculus to make it hit even if you miss.

secound if orks throw 24 inch's they will be at b.s. 0 what happens there?

also how many times can you throw the gernade ball.

i like the game but there are quite a few loop holes

your right about the ork thing, I have an Idea:

each team is allowed 12 models

each better-than-normal-infantry unit counts as 2

each monster creature counts as 4

all monstrous creature has 3 wounds anything else has 1

no upgrades unless there free

only units allowed
