Nobody knows, or apparently so, as no student has ventured low enough to find out..or to return....there is said to be a few select guests living down in this uknown portion of the library..one of them said to be a drooling firespitting dragon, and another..the odd librarian who calls it his home..nobody knows......

Came from Library Island 4-9 Entry # 00026 Sorce collapsed against a handy wall. The check for traps had become routine now. "Hey, Zero, you go on ahead! I'll catch with you later. Damn, this is what I get for not exercising enough...." ((going to have dinner. might not come back tonight. chow... in more ways then one...XD))

Zero walked down to the 10th level, avoiding traps, pitfalls, and monsters along the way. Everything seemed to be going smoothly until....
"Ahhh!" Zero let out a shout of pain as his body was electrocuted by red lightning bolts. After a few minutes, he finally broke free of the electric field but not without a few burns.
"An electric field. Pretty well hidden since even I didn't notice it was there..." Zero said to himself as he stood up while wiping off the dust from his jacket and pants.

Zero knew that if he and Sorce-san wanted to go further, he had to break the electric field. He sat down in front of the field, chanted a few words, and extended both his hands. A blue light slowly crept out from his hands and into the electric field. As the two energies touched, a magical cirlce appeared before him revealing the electric field's main spell matrix.
"This is one high level spell. It should take me until tomorrow to break the matrix." And with that, Zero began cracking the code to deactivate the electric field. He knew it was hard, but if he wasn't able to get past this small obstacle, the fight he dreamed of would only remain like that, only a dream. With that fact flying around in his head, he got even more inspired and worked even faster.
((This should take me until tomorrow. Meanwhile, rest up and get ready. Tomorrow's going to be one big day.))

After recovering from his bout of unhealthy-ness, Sorce continued on his way. Fortunately, Zero had been considerate enough to leave little clues to avoid all the more subtle traps.
He eventually found his new friend standing in the middle of the hallway, a magic circle glowing in front of him. He was obviously trying to take it apart, and not having a easy time of it.
"Here, let me take care of that. This sort of thing is what I do," Sorce said, gently pushing the other boy aside. Cracking his knuckles, he held up one hand as he gripped his staff in the other. "Electro Arcana! Universitas Analyzatus!"
Immediately, a more intricate shape appeared in the air. Rather than a magic circle, the closest thing it could be described as a set of magic spheres, interlocking and orbiting and looking like amoebas doing rude things to each other. Grinning like a kid on Christmas, Sorce attacked the headache inducing construct with relish, nudging here, teasing there...
In a remarkably short amount of time, Sorce had deconstructed the spell into it's component parts, which each still looked like amoebas doing rude things to each other. Off to one side was what to the untrained eye looked like a simplified copy of the original construct.
"Right," Sorce said, wiping the sweat of concentration from his brow. "The trap's pretty much dismantled. All I've got to do is..." A complicated, finger-tangling gesture later and the components all collapsed, leaving just the one construct in the air. "And we're through! And the best part is, I learned a new spell!"
He gestured towards the construct as he fished a notebook-- actually a spell book-- from his pocket and sort of pressed the construct into a blank page. It joined dozens of other similar pressed constructs as the book closed with a decisive snap.
*Sorce has learned "Puniceus Larua Fulgurales Furor"*

"Crimson Demon Lightning Fury"= a high-powered lightning spell of an infernal nature. Although it is possible for humans to learn, it is of infernal origin, and as such is difficult to control. It is very effective against demons, however.
Sorce grinned. "It feels pretty difficult to control, but that just means I bring it out when I don't care who it hits!" domokun
Swaying a little unsteadily on his feet, Sorce leaned against a wall again. "This is getting to be a habit," he muses. "I hope he doesn't have any sub-bosses or more spell-traps to deconstruct after this. Even with Hakstetteru-san's potion, that was still pretty tiring..."

Ren walked up the stiars to a dark hallway, "Oh wow..." she said tilting her head, ".....I wonder where Zero-kun and his friend went...." she said, never quite being introduced to the other mage, "I hope they are not....far eek ," she stepped on the ground and it sank about two inches, suddenly the floor below her gave out and she dropped about a foot before she grabbed onto the ledge. Letting out a scream, she dangled from the edge helplessly. Turning her head around to see the endless darkness below her, she turned around quickly and grabbed the edge even tighter, "Oh No...." she thought, "What am I going to do...? If I try to get up I might fall!"

Entry # 00028 Sorce's head jerked up as he heard the scream. He and Zero both had time to share a looked of realization, before they were both running towards it, dodging traps which had almost reset. Rounding a turn, the analyst managed to make out a hole in the floor that hadn't been there before. A pair of small hands gripped the ledge. Running forward, he skidded to a stop a few feet from the hole and, bracing himself as best as he could, grabbed the wrists he saw. "Hang on!" he said unnecessarily. It was pretty stupid. In these situations, a person didn't suddenly think "Oh, I think I'll open my hands"...

Hanging on for dear life, Ren felt suddenly that a huge weight was lifted off of her shoulders, that she was not going to die and that she was going to be saved.

Entry # 00029 Together, Sorce and Zero eventually managed to pull up the fallen girl. It was Ren, Sorce saw, just before she managed to get a secure footing and he collapseed in a rather undignified heap on the floor, gasping from exertion. After a while, he managed to get his breathing back under control and stood up. He held out his hand. "I never really got your name. Sorce Marrione, pleased to meet you..."
