We have been discussing having a monthly contest for the banner, on the Home Page of the Guild. Would there be interest in this?
It would be photos only, but anyone would be welcome to submit. Then you, the members, would put it to a vote, and the favorite, would be on the home page starting on the 1st of the next month. That's also when we'd start the contest up again.
Entries would be allowed until like, the 25th. So, you'd have about five days to vote on your favorite.
Any interest in a monthly contest like this?

I still really like the idea... I would really love some feed back on this idea, so we know whether or not to green light it. :3

You guys know that I liked the idea, so now it would b e nice to get some input from non-Crew members! Because otherwise it will just be the 3 or 4 of us competing against each other! crying

In an off-Gaia grid I haunt, we rotate photos out once a week. There's enough people to do that there, but here we could do a monthly rotate. That way it wouldn't be a competition so much as a happy sharing of photos. smile
|

Well that's the general idea, but the competition is to encourage growth, and improvement in photo taking skills. :3 I mean, most of us, are decent with a camera, but when it comes to competitions, that often gives people that extra drive to do something especially creative. :3 However, if that makes some of our members uncomfortable we will take that into consideration. This is a small group still, and we want everyone to be happy.
