I've only been really interested in j-rock for about two months or so, but my favorites so far are: Miyavi

Ashoolay I love Miyavi! He plays really good! smile Yeah! I like the fact that he's got an upbeat perspective, too - don't get me wrong, the morbid bands rock, too, but sometimes that's just a nice difference. Alright, question: Does the music (on Miyaviuta, at least) sound sort of...Spanish or Italian or something to anyone else?

I like the fact that he's got an upbeat perspective, too - don't get me wrong, the morbid bands rock, too, but sometimes that's just a nice difference. Alright, question: Does the music (on Miyaviuta, at least) sound sort of...Spanish or Italian or something to anyone else? Well, the only song I've listened to so far is "Selfish Love", and I fell in love with the way he played guitar o.o so yeah, I definitely want to hear more. That song sounded a little... Blues-ish >.> I think. XD
Any suggestions on more songs?

Any suggestions on more songs? Let's see...well, it's only available on a single CD*, but Jibun Kakumei is my ABSOLUTE favorite so far (see my profile for video), but on Miyaviuta I'd say the other really good songs are: Bokuwa Shitteru
Bakana Hito And if you like the instrumental part in particular: Dear My Love...
Zikoai, Zigazisan, Ziisikikazyou At the very least, he definitely knows how to play guitar. O_O Plan on downloading Miyavism sometime next week so hopefully can add some more songs to the best list. ^^ (*As for downloading, I don't know much besides iTunes, unfortunately.)

Wow. Okay, ANYTHING off of Miyavism! It's totally different than Miyaviuta, but it rocks! Especially Pop'n'Roll Baseball and Papa Mama.

L'Arc~en~ciel is one of my favorites.
So is Nightmare.
I like... hmmmmm... "Link" by L'Arc~en~ciel, and well... "Aluminia" by Nightmare.
I also like Zetsubou Billy by Maximum the Hormone.
I dunno, I know a lot of Japaneses songs, and bands =3.

I absolutely love all kinds of japanese music. I know tons and tons of different artists and bands. Right now, my favorites are Gackt, the pillows, Ellegarden, The Black Mages, L'Arc~en~Ciel, Malice Mizer... oh I could go on and on. I love too many.
