DIST The continent of Dist is vastly differing continent in terms of terrain. The entire continent is shaped much like a malformed crescent. The ocean contained between it's almost connecting points is called the Ocean of Tranquility. The continent is entirely ruled by the country of of Marivia and it's various provinces.

Velne Towards the northern tip, there are dense forests. This is the province of Velne. The woods are mostly inhabited by nymphs, elves, and, of course, dryads. Humans also can be found scraping a living out, and with them were-creatures. The provincial government here is strongly left-wing and fights for the preservation of the natural order.

Arhyp The southern tip, not more than 500 miles south of the tip of Velne, is the desert province of Arhyp. The residents here are an evolutionary offshoot of elves known as harpys. The main difference between the two is that every harpy has a beautiful pair of white wings on their backs. Also inhabiting the area are a very sparse collection of humans, however few can survive the harsh conditions like the harpies. Arhyp is very right-wing, and they covet the forests of Velne deeply, for their own province once looked as Velne did, before rapid deforestation and industrialization stripped the soil of any nutrients or plants to keep the soil healthy.

Nogme Nogme is the eastern back of the crescent, characterized by rolling hills leading to towering mountains and then sheer cliffs where it meets the ocean. Here live mountain folk, such as gnomes, goblins, and dwarves. Also, the undead thrive in the shade provided by the impossibly high mountain ranges. The Marivians here care little for politics and only about scraping out a living. The excavation of the mountains and the undead farming the people are the main concerns of these, for the most part, decent, hardworking folk. The overall political sphere is slightly right-wing. In the volcanic regions of this province, it is hard to tell the raining fire from a diving fire predator. The University of Purity lies nestled amongst the rolling hills in the city of Purity in this Provence. In a hidden valley, nestled amongst mountains that keep the valley in eternal night, there is a library of impossible proportions. The building, bigger on the inside than on the outside, was built so long ago that it predates even the records it houses. Some say it was the home of a powerful magician, some believe it to be the earthly abode of one of the gods who left the land to never be seen again. The name of this mansion turned exclusive college, is the Magic Complex, where books literally come to life, and the servers housing Magiplex.edu stand.

Irnes The underwater province of Irenes (including the floating cities that rock with the ocean's gentle rhythm, far above the submarine villages below) is filled mostly with water folk. Hydryads, sirens, mer folk, and the like live here, working as hand in hand with nature and industry as possible. The drilling for oil is balanced by the electric fields that stun fish and leave dolphins safe. This realm is perhaps the most majestic of all the regions. Politically speaking, this region is mostly moderate.

Lipans The plains and prairie land of Lipans are vast and beautiful. Ranging from mid-west prairie to African savanna, the land here is fertile and lush. Interspersed upon the land is mostly human folk. The marginally slightly left-wing inhabitants are generally speaking, just trying to scrape a living out of the soil like good farmers do. However, on the coast of Lipans, there is a hotbed of discord and fear. Deliverance...
