Here on the Spiritual Plain in Ceutes, one of the Cities destroyed and remade from the Great Human vs. Demon War where millions of humans and demons alike have died. Ember is trapped after falling through a black hole in which Cross created. In this plain spirits are stuck because they feel as though their life was incomplete. So they have no direction to get to heaven and are forced to stay in a world of nothing but ruins. Along the way to finding her way out Ember makes a new friend who she will later see in the real world.
Here in the Spirit Plain the sky is always blank and no color shows but black, a lite blue, and gray. No sun, no clouds. Not even a night with stars, well actually not even night. Just blue and ruin with roaming emotionless spirits.

Ember groaned, her eyes fluttering open to reveal a blank nothingness above her. She squinted, wondering if she'd hit her head too hard on the way down -
"From the cliff!" she gasped, sitting up. Where was she? Did she already drown? Was she unconscious, floating at the bottom of the sea, a sitting duck for a shark to take a bite out of?
She looked around and saw completely nothingness, just simply blue and gray coloring like out of a book. It was like she'd stepped into an inverted world, one with creepy ghosts floating around with battle scars and wounds -
"Wait! Creepy ghosts?" Ember spluttered, scrambling backwards to hit a blank wall of blue behind her. If anything was considered freaky in her life, this world would be on the top of the list.
And creepy ghosts made the top five of her deathly afraid list (zombies being first, spiders second, dying third, and unemotional men whom she'd gotten attached to and broken her heart with fourth).
Her wide amethyst eyes followed the spirits as they moved past her, sparing her a simple glance, but otherwise ignoring her.
Her heart beat within her chest. A million questions ran through her usually empty mind. Had Cross actually killed her? Where was he? Wasn't he the Angel of Death of something? It seemed like the place where dead people resided, what with all the dead spirits. Didn't he live here or something?
For some odd reason, she imagined a mansion sitting atop a black hill, a stark white moon in the otherwise empty sky, and dead trees around it. A haunted mansion for a haunted man. She shuddered, feeling the icy cold of the world around her.
Was she really dead? Would she see Aero in this forsaken place? A glimmer of hope resided in her heart, waiting to sprout and grow. She knew it would get crushed, but that knowledge didn't stop it from appearing.
Her breath billowed out in white smoky fog. Was she alone in this place? Were there others here? They revolved around the simple question of was she even alive in the first place. Ember tipped her head back to stare at the empty sky above. More questions flew around in her head. Was there a chance to get out?

Dem wonder aimlessly through the blue and black world. I'm dead, yet I kept my emotions. I can feel and think for myself. The even better thing was that...I still have my body! Dem thought. He thought he'd be sure he was a body and even wake by throwing himself into a wall. "Ow, that actually hurt...wait! That hurt! I'm alive, or dead, or a living dead, or...what am I?" Dem pondered as he walked constantly looking for a way out. "I gotta find Sparky. He left me behind and I was killed...what a friend!" he laughed but was angry at the same time. "I wonder..." he said walking over to a ghost. "Is there an exit?" he asked but there was no response. "Hello!?" he waved his hand in front of his face and the ghost walked through his hand. "Ew! Ghost goop!" he shuddered "This place is so weird..." he said looking up. He couldn't see anything up above him. It was like he was in a dark bubble that everywhere was darkness. He held on tightly to the necklace Samantha gave him when they were 15. It had been 3 years since he had last saw her. He had left their hometown when he turned 15. It was pretty upsetting because he never knew what had happened to her, let alone what happened to him. Last he had heard Cross killed her but he wasn't too sure. "I'm really getting pissed off at this place. ARGHHHHHHHH!!" Dem howled at the very thought of being here for the rest of his life, death, semi-life. "I still don't even know if I'm alive or not...oh well." he said continuing with his journey to find a familiar face to help him outta there.
