J'aime le poker depuis des annees ... c'est probablement le seul jeu dans lequel j'ai un peu de talent et dans lequel je ne me fais pas battre par tout le monde.

I have loved poker for a very long time ... That's the only card game, well actually game where I have some talent and do not get beat straight away by everybody.

Vous vous inscrivez a un jeu, ensuite je determinerais une date de demarrrage et le jeu commencera.
You subscibe to a game then I will determine a starting date and the play will start.

Important: This not a one night or day meeting. One round can last as long as it needs depending on the amount of time and connexions you are abble to do.But for the fluidity of the game, it would be good to do at least one connexion a day. In the case of less and if you are in play and you don't post your decision 48h00 after you will be considered as PASS or CHECK depending on the evolution of the game. If a round is finished you will be excluded of the next round without any penalties. Am I good or am I good ? mrgreen

Nous commencerons avec un "ticket d'entree" (l'achat des jetons) de 250Gd pour 1.000 JTs (Jetons Thorstein) pour pouvoir jouer au jeu en cours. Cela pourra varier avec le temps, surtout pour les tournois.
Envoyez moi les 250Gd par un "Trade".
A la fin de la partie le gagnant prend la totalite de l'argent mis en jeu. Exemple pour une partie avec 7 personnes le montant total de Gold est de 750 !! Pas mal non ?

We will start with a 'Buy in' (the buying of the chips) of 250Gd to buy 1000JTs to play in the game, to see how it works. This may change in time, specially for turnaments.
Send me the 250Gd through trade.
At the end of the game the winner takes it all. Exemple with a game of 7 people the amont of gold is 1750Gd for the winner !! Neat hey ?

THE GAME RULES
2-7 players (unless special event)

This is the thing: It's poker.

The aim is to make with the cards you are dealt the best combination of 5 cards.
The rules that apply here are the Texas Hold'm No limit (my favourite).
We are using a 52 cards deck. (I will be using real cards at home to make it fair for everybody)
The players have each an equal amount of chips (they will be Known as "Thorstein Chips" JT) depending on the events, you wish to play in. They will come in 1/5/10/25/50/100/500/1000 JTs.
Each player is given 2 hidden cards (PMed by me to each), the others do not know your cards. These are called 'Pocket cards'.
Then the croupier, the person giving the cards (myself), will in turn depending on the raise/check/flop evolution of the round will put 5 additional cards on the table for everyone. These cards are called 'Community cards'.
The best combination will be between the 'pocket cards' and the 'community ones'.
Expl: P1 Hidden cards 5/6. P2 hidden cards Q/2. Community cards 9/5/J/7/Ace. The winner is P1, with a pair.
Blinds are the money you put on the table to play the turn. We won't play with small or high blinds because it would be too complicated. But everynow and again I will raise the blinds. Each turn you will have to put blinds on the table.

Each will be placed in a special order 1 to 7 around the table. Each person talks one after an other. The next turn we advance around the table.
Expl: 1rst round P1 will talk first then P2 then P3. 2nd round P2 will talk 1rst then P3 and then P1 and so on till the whole game stops.

1rst Round - You evaluate your hand and then you make 3 possible decisions.
FOLD - You have a very low opportunity to achieve it, you just throw your cards on the table without telling or showing them.
CHECK - You have a decent hand and you want to see the next cards, so you don't put additional ACs on the table.
RAISE - Yous hands is good (2 pairs for exemple) you add an amount of ACs on the table. You are free to choose which amount, limited to what you have left. Any time you can go "all in".

Important: If P1 raised, P2 can either fold, call (putting the same amount of ACs on the table as P1) or re-raise.

If every everybody folded: Everybody talked, if every one before you folded and you are the last one to talk, the pot in front of the banque is yours.
Expl: P1/P2/P3 had to put 10ACs as blinds to play the round. P1/P2 fold P3 takes the 30ACs. In reality he just won 20ACs which will be added to his original chips. If P1 had 1000ACs, then at the end of this round he will have 1020ACs.

2nd round : Everybody checked (not adding any money to raise) :
The croupier will 'burn' a card from the deck (taking the card of the top out without showing it) and will reveal the next 3 cards, called the FLOP. These community cards will be shared by every player around the table. The combination everybody has to make is between the pocket cards and these. Obvisouly you know the cards you share but not what other players have hidden.
An other round starts. P1 will either fold/Check/raise. P2 will either fold/check/raise P3 same thing do the same and so on ...
Winner takes the pot, same possibilities as before.

3rd round - Everybody checked
The croupier will burn a card and put a 4rth card on the table, called the 'THE TURN'. Again its a community card. Everybody share this one too. Same combinations and same fold/check/raise/re-raise.

4th round - Everybody checked
A last card will be put on the table,its called 'THE RIVER'. Again a community card, again the same combinations and same calls fold/check/raise/re-raise as before.

The winner is the one with the best hand.

Important if there are only two players for this turn and in case of ALL IN, (putting your whole stack of chips on the table) the hidden cards will be revealed and the rest of the round will continue automatically until the River is revealed. Then the best hand wins.
Expl: P1 went all in after the flop, P2 called, P3 folded (this player stopped playing for the pot). The hidden cards will be revealed and the Croupier will unravel the TURN and THE RIVER authomatically. Best hand wins the pot.
