This ring is the main one used in the Budokai main tournament. It's a square, and about 30 feet on each side. Low railings, about 3 feet high, prevent an accidental drop into the shallow 8' deep pool of water encasing th entire ring. Decorational stone lanterns stick up out of the water, with lily pads and various pond-flowers adorning the surface as well. The ring itself is made from very solid wood, and triple-layered, truly a feat of engineering by the Carpentry Club. This ring is good for magic battles, and high-energy martial arts matches. Ring out matches result with one person being left wet!

Daisuke walked out onto the battle ring, wearing a mage's cloak, as often done during magic battles. He waited for Stephen to show up.

Stephen soon made his way to the ring, slowly as usual. He was wearing his cload as well, just something of a habit most students had after graduating. He stood a fairly good distance away from Daisuke, "Yo...ready?" he muttered simply letting down a sleeve showing his spell casting ring.

Daisuke smiled. "Yes... But before we start, are we clear on the rules? No items like guns, bladed weapons, or other powerful magic items? And what about winning conditions? Forfeit?"

Stephen shrugged, "Sounds good to me.." he glanced around, it was still fairly dark..only the Budokai Ring lights brightening the ring.

"Alright then. Shall we begin?" Daisuke walked over to one of the white lines, indicating a starting point.

Daisuke just nodded, then dashed off to the side, and chanted, "Saggita Magita, Magic Archer; 17 Arrows of Fire!"
Seventeen small balls of fire erupted from his wand and streaked towards Stephen.

Stephen winced a bit at the light eminating fromt he fire, "Fire.." he muttered then quickly started to speak his own incantation "Sagitta Magicka, Magic Arrows, 17 Water Series!"
Seventeen flat ended rods of water appeared, as Stephen thrust his hand forward all collided with Daisuke's own fire....now only causing the ring to be filled with steam.
Stephen quickly sidestepped towards an edge the steam hadnt reached yet, "Sagitta Magicka, Water Series!" then once again launched, though now a single, rod of water towards the direction the embers came from.

The steam was cleared away almost instantly by a blast of wind from Daisuke's wand, allowing him to see the water missile going right for him- he didn't have time to counter-spell, so he hit the floor hard and rolled forward, avoiding most of it, but still getting glanced by it a bit. He righted himself and recited his incantation once again. "Sagitta Magita, Magic Archer, 17 Fire Arrows!"
This time, the arrows split into two groups and went off to the sides, coming into flank Stephen from either side.

Stephen put up his guard as the steam was blown away, expecting the spell to attack him, only to further in lowering his guard as the barrage of fire attacked from both sides. "Water! Protect! He managed to mutter, then waved his hand up..instantly changing the air to his side into an unseeable wall of water only enough to dissolve one side of the fire..he quickly attempted to role into the steam he brought up to avoid the rest, only to be hit directly by one and another graze him. He managed to sweep off the fire, luckily it only burnt a bit through his cloak.
Now he regained his composure and used the steam to incantate a larger spell one of his own affinity. "Spirits of Gravity! Arise quickly to crush this foe with your force, and move to my whim. Orbs of Gravitation!" he slowly moved his arm down then even slower, as if pushing through water, he pushed forward..instantly causing a large orb of black to shoot out towards him, pushing all of the steam away..he winced a bit holding his arm, that fire did what it was supposed to.

Daisuke could feel the gravity magic's effects from where he was crouching. "Damn it... Didn't expect him to pull out such a big gun so early on..." He dashed around to the side of the arena, making a wide circle around his opponent as to not get affected by the gravity magic, and as he was running, jumped up onto the railing. "Sagitta Magita; Arrows of Fire, version II; revolve around and burn your path with radiance! Flare Wheel!" The arrows this time started to spin around in a circle around Daisukes' hand, faster and faster, creating a large spinning ring of fire, which he then slammed down onto the arena floor, sending it flying towards Stephen at an incredible speed.

"Damn..missed" he sighed..he shouldnt have used it so early..or atleast waited till he had a clear shot. The ball of gravity, unfortunately didnt lock on to it's target..and continued to slowly roll into the stands, unnecessary to tell what obviously had happened next. 'Whoops..' Stephen watched as his enemy now circled about him, then he muttered a spell..that was spinning quickly towards him. All he had enough time to do was to put up his forearms as a guard and flipp his cloak in front of him as to not get burnt. The natural magical barrier of water that was constantly used to lower damage..atleast absorbed some of the damage, a good portion causing him to be flung back towards the railing. When he felt the steel hit his back he rolled away and watched as the rest of his attack burned through it. "Sagitta Magicka, Wave of torrent sweep across my foe taking them to the water side! Overflowing Tide!!" He quickly thrust his hand forward as, just as it would be, a small tidal wave appeared and slowly started to form before quickly rolling towards Daisuke.

Daisuke's eyes widened at the oncoming wave of water. "s**t... This really isn't good..." He stood his ground, letting the wave come closer and closer, while he charged up his wand as much as he could. Just when the tidal wave was almost upon him, he released the energy in his wand, creating a blade of wind that sliced a hole in the wave right in front of him, thereby not getting hit as the water crashed over the arena. He was still thoroughly soaked though, and the wand was apparently experiencing "magical overheating" from the charge. "Damn it... I didn't expect to have this much trouble..." He pulled his cloak closer and started chanting very fast, apparently concentrating hard.

"Heh." Stephen smirked after hearing that he didnt expect it to be so difficult. But didnt let it get to his head, that would throw off his own need for concentration. "Mei piccamens volo vinci vici victum.." As water was falling over the arena, seeming like rain, "Spirits of Gravity! Arise quickly to crush this foe with your force, and move to my whim. Orbs of Gravitation!" he launched another black orb of gravity..this one would, stronger because of the activation, although moving slowly...pull Daisuke in towards it, as it slowly would ram into the stands. "Damn.." he muttered after pulling his hand back, gravity magic took alot of magic, if he kept this up he'd pass out after the next few blasts.
