Now, this may come out sounding rude, and I apologize for that, I don't mean to be rude. I'm just confused.
...and slightly pissed.
When you create a Roleplay, aren't you more or less responsible for posting there yourself? One of the reasons why some games don't last, is not because of the players, but because the person who created it isn't posting there him/herself. It frustrates the players and makes it hard for potential new-players to pay any interest to the game.

In my opinion, when you create a game; you become more or less responsible for the flow of it. If the creator loses interest in a particular game, he/she should relinquish power over the matter in said game to someone who still wants to play it. Thus allowing other members in the game game to carry on. Or on the other hand, he/she could shut the game down.
Abandoning games is generally a bad idea, since the GM has all the strings in his hands, and possibly the plot too. Having somekind of scheme helps the game move forward in some direction, instead of just standing still and slowly losing it's new baby smell. O_O (I know, bad phrasing. :3)
As a potential new games to ongoing games I'd really like them to have some life in them when I enter. So, maybe this matter should be considered by the GMs of the games in this guild.
We need life in this place! And possibly we need to advertise somewhere?

My thoughts exactly!
And we do desperately need a little more life in this place, and I cant help feeling, that the Guild Staff (Kira-kun excluded) isn't all that interested in this Guild anymore... And it kinda makes me sad. I really have grown fond of this Guild.
Some advertisement might help, but I'm not 100% sure how that happens...
And you, little one, with the cousin-lover name, get in my game! Or I shall --
...I shall...
...I shall..?
What shall I? (The lamest threat in this century.)

I agree in this. Responsibily should be taken. Or at least inform people if they are about to quit their games. You can't just declare that a game is dead without at least informing the players about it!

I um... I'm not sure if I can rampage and stomp my foot around here since I've been so much "away" lately. Shame on me. crying
I do, however, agree that the GMs should inform the other players if they have no intentions of continuing their RPG. Or if they don't have time or something like that.
Now I'm just repeating what people have already said but I think this clarifies my opinion. And I hope that all the GM's in our guild read this. 3nodding

Gah, ok i totally agree, but also by playing that role *and i REALLY WANA SAY IM SORRY!!!* Its also the behind the scenes too. *as an excuse* My computer's been on the fritz, being..weird.....and i havent been able to come on at all. And its a catch 22. You want to advertise, but you forget about actually going into the guild and posting. and vice versa. And also, going back to the "behind the scenes" topic, i just dont have time to go on the computer. school is..troublesome, college classes suck, choir is a b***h *language, sorry* but im finally getting an academic life. and, atm i cant go on gaia.
i promise that i truly will try to come back on, everyday.
heart kira

It's okay. We really should have some sort of sticky or something in the main forum, where people could announce if they're gonna be offline for awhile. I think Shaye suggested it somewhere here in the guild, but I can't remember where.

*My second double post* Theres also the other side. I havent posted any new RP's because i know, as a writer myself, that if i write more than 3 stories at once, my charecters start to become the same person, and my roleplaying becomes less....intellegent.
and the other OTHER side is the other posters. i personally like RP's where every charecter leads the story. Not just the starter. and usually people like the starter progressing the story and them just following. and i hate that.
yea.

Then don't write more than three stories at once. And as said, my experience from RPs come from tabletop games, with very little experience of onliners. And in the tabletops the GM has all the power, but also most of the responsibility, and it seems to work much better than this system.
And as much, the players naturally also have responsibility to post. A one sided conversation is a pain to handle. Who ever the characters are, that are currently having a conversation, it is really annoying to wait for weeks and weeks to have the other character answer to a question! Even if the creator of the game has the intention of letting the game take it's own course, it must be pushed to life first. And it doesn't do that unless there is at least two or three posting players. And some players don't participate in games that obviously have no current activity. I don't think I would do that anymore. I'm simply tired of trying to keep a game running all by myself.
The reason I have meade only one RP for the time being, is that I don't really trust the players here (except the ones I invited here myself, since they are old friends of mine and I can bug them into posting, with no problem [and for further notice, it's mostly my friends that are currently keeping this Guild alive, and for this I am thankfull, since I really do like this Guild]).
In Saint Margaret, I've had a player for a long time now, that hasn't posted even once. I can handle for not posting in weeks (especially if it's announced somehow beforehand), but not posting even once, and not even bothering to explain why, nor giving me any note of resigning is not only annoying, it's rude.
As an ending statement, I'd say that everyone, including the creator and the player, has the responsibility to take part in the game they are participating. If no one posts, the game dies. It's as simple as that.

It's okay. I can totally relate to the book-thing. It consumes life. And I don't think anyone holds a grudge here, or is really pissed off. We just want something to happen.
Besides, there are plenty of Guild members not posting here. Maybe Kira-kun is right about reminding them about the Guild.
