Here are two links which I find to be rather interesting concerning the Iraq war: Link 1Link 2Both are music videos by my favourite artist Serj Tankian. In the first link, I believe the video to be more important than the song and, in the second link, the song to be more important than the video. Check 'em out.

I love SOAD. I love their songs; I have every album (via discography//unmentionable method) and adore what they have to say. The first video made me smile; I love the way he presents himself. That is by far one of my favorite. . .I don't know the word. . .ways of presenting ones self? I dunno. The video was amazing--laced with meaning to the very core. Especially in the fact that he chose children to do the video. Amazing.
The second video was a little less gratifying, but the song is quite beautiful. I agree with everything he has to say.
Hmm. . .I'll look up a couple of bands I listen to that have rather controversial Lyrics =D

I'm just going to post the lyrics because chances are you'd hate the music and screaming.
Beneath the Massacre:
4. Regurgitated Lullaby For The Born Dead
Prowling along the edge of misery Suffocating on hope of better days Questioning minds fed with the myth of opportunity
Born-dead: Death at birth Unwanted: Still essential Exploited: As they want Born-Dead: But shall rise
Destiny chosen by fortunate ones, wounded for life Can't become a master when you're born slave Slavery for the shut mouths
Mortification for majority So that masters Keep sleeping in Their castles built of gold
A child's dream, nothing but dreams, Will soon start to burn and turn to ashes. The production equation doesn't bring wealth For everyone, a thing to benefit the fortunate Ones/empowered ones. Awake the born dead.
The Acacia Strain: Sunpoison and Skin-Cancer, as well as Brown Noise.
Sunpoison and Skin Cancer
The names have been changed to protect the innocent. This is poison. Manufactured for the general well being of the community. You can kill what you can't see. What can't be seen can't possibly exist. Life uninterrupted, undecided, unanticipated. Manufactured for the general well being of the community. You can't kill what you can't see. What can't be seen can't possibly exist. You call this worldwide destruction? I call it a mediocre excuse to force-feed pollution as a problem. Colonize, monopolize, and destroy. Compared to actual existence, this is child's play. Screaming for an answer you're never going to get. This is poison, this is battery acid. Lies, lies, lies..
Brown Noise:
This is chaos theory simplified and stretched out before a jury. No warning has been issued. No compliments have been wholesomely handed out. The time hasn't been used up until it burns. Fear the wounded for they walk the earth stronger. Destroy the loathsome for they only weaken the machine. Running the tightrope until the rope runs out. Run it all into the ground, then rebuild. The constructs on the boundaries we've been given are unfair. And mother earth doesn't love you. Our remorse has gone far beyond forgiveness. Until the rope runs out run it all into the ground. For when in Rome, we shall do as the Romans.
Thats all for now. Maybe more later.
Salaam~

Ye GODS I love them (but not as much as System). The way I see the children is as a way of saying "Look at these children playing. One of their buildings was knocked down and lost their temper, starting a mini war in kindergarten. People get 'shot' and 'die' like it's all a game" but then the coffin goes past as if to continue the previous statement to say "But it isn't just a children's game. A child DID lose his temper and declare war and it's real. And people really are dieing". I just love how Serj says things without really saying them.

Cradle of Filth is an Okay Black Metal band. I stopped listening to them a while ago. They just weren't. . .Good enough.
I'll find some Black Metal for you to listen to.
Have you ever listened to The Black Dahlia Murder or Dimension Zero? They're a lot of fun.

I still like Cradle. I LOVE Damnation and a Day, I listened to Cruelty and the Beast once after I bought it and then the disc disappeared and I like Nymphetamine too. I really wish I could've been allowed to see them when they did the Nymphetamine tour.

Mm. Nymphetamine is one of my favorite songs by them. There was another, but I can't recall the title. I kind of went in and out of Cradle pretty quickly. They also did a remake of a classic song and it was pretty sweet. Can't think of the name though =(
