  A large greenish blue male bear with one eye of sky and the other of green came through a lush part of the forest. He was looking for a river, a stream, heck even a babbling brook just so he could have a drink, his mouth was so dry. He couldn't smell any other sents that would tell him if he was stepping onto another males terrory. So he thought he was save.

ramenli Mentha stretched as she lay sunning herself on a rock in her part of the forest. The sun soaked into her fur, relaxing her. As her eyes slowly wandered over the forest a movement caught her eye. There was a stranger in her territory. It was fairly large, most likely a male. She stood on her perch and began watching him. He didn't seem dangerous, but one shouldn't be too careless. mangshra Bowie stopped dead in his tracks as the gently breeze brought the sent of another bear near to his nose. He looked up and down, all around tell he saw her. Through the bushs and trees he saw her. The white bear was a female, he could smell that. He walked towards her with caution, ears pulled back. If she had young cubs he knew better then to stick around. Female with cubs where never that nice to other males. ramenli Seeing the males hesitate Mentha quickly decided that he probably wasn't all that dangerous. It had been a while since someone had come into her territory, the wings on her back kept most of her neighbors away. She fluttered down to the base of the rock and stood, waiting for him to approach. She did not want to seem to eager for company but nor did she want to appear weak. mangshra Bowie had to do a double take. Was he seeing things right? Had she just floan? Like the stories his mother once told him as a cub. A bear with wings, it was to good to be true. He picked up the pase and trotted over to her. It was ture, this female had wings and for the first time in his live he believed the old stories. He stopped in front of her. "Are you an angel?" ramenli Mentha was completely taken aback. She had been told she was above others by her parents, that she was the same as everyone else by a few, and had been called a freak by most normal Nokose. She wasn't sure how to react to being called an angel, and so she did the first thing to come to mind, she laughed. "No, I am a Goddess of the Nokose, have you never seen one before?" She asked curiously. mangshra Her laughter was like music to he's ears. Bowie shook his heas slowly. "I thought that would be clear m`lady, that I have not. After all I did think you where an angel, but know I find out that you are a Goddess. What else can I say but...WOW!" Bowie couldn't move, he was frozen in the spot. ramenli Again Mentha was slightly shocked. She wasn't sure what response she had been expecting but admiration had not been her first thought. "No m'lady please, my name is Mentha. And what is your name?" She noticed with some curiousity as she waited for a response that one of his eyes was blue while the other was green. So he was different too, she smiled. mangshra Bowie Smiled warmly, this female wanted to be treated no differently it would seem. Even though she was a goddess and looked it too. Why did she seem so humble? "Thats a beautiful. I am Bowie but I have been known to go by Bow." ramenli "Bowie...Bow...Yes Bow is a good nickname, I like it." Mentha was elated, finally she had met someone who wasn't scared of her or who wanted nothing to do with her. Even holding a conversation was strange for her. "So what brings you to these lands?" mangshra "I just like to roam. If I stay in one spot how will I ever have fun." He chuckled. "But I was looking for a stream just now. I haven't had a drink in days." He just remembered how thirsty he was and it showed on his face. ramenli "If its water you're looking for I know the perfect place, theres a spring not too far from here. Just follow me." She turned and began walking into the woods. Roaming...how curious. She hadn't left her territory since she'd arrived, and truth be told she was scared to think of leaving it now.

ramenli "Its no bother, really. I think I may begin to enjoy other's company." Mentha was a bit surprised by herself. Until she had said that she hadn't realised the truth to that. She kept walking, "come on now, its really not that far." mangshra Bowie smiled and paddled over to her side. "Well thank you." He looked ahead of them, his ears twitched listening for the sound of rushing water. "How long have you been on your own?" He asked and hoped he wasn't being to bold. ramenli Mentha looked down as she thought at the response. Then with a shake of her head she answered "Since I was big enough to be on my own I"ve taken care of myself." mangshra Bowie let out a deep sigh. "Well thats a bummer. How did you last all this time with no one to talk to? I would have gone bonkers all by my self." ramenli "It was fine by myself really, I mean its better than...its just fine by myself." She carefully concentrated on the path ahead of her mangshra "So I guess no one ever was able to tell you that your a terrible lier." He chuckled and walked into her to nudge her. "No bear is an island." ramenli Menta felt her face grow strangely warm at both the welcome comment and the nudge. This was rather strange. "So says the wanderer" she whispered softly. mangshra Bowie heard her comment and chuckle. "Yes I'm not the best one to talk but I have met other bears. And I had other bear case me away, I'm not much of a fighter you see. I don't see the point...Maybe one day I'll understand when I have something to fight for." He smiled to her warmly. ramenli Mentha laughed "Even I have chased away bears away from my territory, though I don't think I've ever had to fight them for some reason. Well you're welcome to stay here for a while, it may be good for me to talk to someone." mangshra Bowie smiled. "I'd like that. I've been roaming for so long I forget what it's like to stay still." He's ears picked up the sound of rushing water and he picked up the pase. "Oh and it was male bears saying I was on there land." He laughed and rolled his eyes. ramenli Mentha walked faster, to match his pace. "Well no males have tried to stay here, in fact they tend to leave in a bit of a hurry after seeing me." mangshra "Your beauty was to much for them. They just couldn't handly it." He grinnas he saw the stream up ahead. "Water!" He ran for it. ramenli Mentha kept her same pace as he ran ahead. Too beautiful for them? She blushed, unused to the attention and compliments. mangshra If Bowie hadn't stopped when he did he would have flowen into the stream. "That was a close one." He chuckled and bent down for a drink. The water was cool, just what he needed. He could just lay there and drink all day along he was that tristy. ramenli Mentha padded up next to him, flopped down, and began to lap at the water. The water tasted the best at this stream and Bow seemed to like it. Mentha felt strangely proud that he seemed to like her territory so much, and possibly...possibly her as well. mangshra Bowie looked over to Mentha when he stopped drink. His lips pulled into a smirk and he leaped into the water. "Whoopy!" He yelled before he hit the water and made a huge splash. The cool water felt so good against his hot skin.

She laughed as she saw him leap towards the water but then she yelped a little as the splash hit her. It was so cold! That was it, he was not getting away with this. She launched herself into the water after him, growling playfully.

Bowie fake screamed like alittle girly cub. "Ahh! help the goddess is going to smite me!" He laughed and started to swim away.

"I'm going to get you for that!" she yelled and began swimming after him. She hadn't done anything like this since she had been a cub herself.

"Ahh! No smitie! No SMITIE!!!" He yelped and swam away as fast as he could. He felt rocks under his paws just then. He was able to touch bottem again and he took his as he catch to get a head start. He ran up the bank of the stream and into the forest around them. It would be hard to find him seeing how there was a big wet trail behind him.

Mentha scrambled up the bank behind him. Unfortunately her wings were soaked, she could have caught up to him quickly like that. As is she bounded after him, trying to think of where he would end up to see if she knew any shortcuts.

Bowie ran throught the forest as fast as he could. Clime a tree...No. Hind in a cave?...no. I know! The thought hit him like a ton of bricks. He doubled back and dove behind a bush to lay and wait for her.

The forest rushed past her as Mentha crashed through the forest. It was fairly exhilarating to have a friendly fight with someone and playing was fun. Her eyes scanned the forest ahead and she began thinking of where she would head to if she didnt know the forest already

It felt to Bowie at he had been waiting around forever. Thats when he heard it. The rusling sound of the something coming his way. He waiting till it was close enough and then, Pounce! But it was just a rabbit. "Ugh your not what I wanted this time." He said as he watched it hop away. He followed it with his eye till he saw Mentha. "Damn!" He mutter and turned to run away again.

Mentha caught sight of her "prey" and renewed her effort. All of this running had helped her dry off and so she began flapping her wings in order to go faster. The gap between them was rapidly closing.

"AHHH! She's going to smite me! Someone any one help me!!" He yelled as he laughed. He knew now it was only a matter of time before she would catch him. So he stopped, turned around and stood on his hind legs with his front one open. He was going to catch her, if his guessed her speed right that is. He hoped the distance between them didn't give her enought time or mover or stop.

"I will smite you!" She yelled after him. Then Mentha saw his trap and honestly tried to stop, but all she managed was to slow down a bit. With a whump she ran into the out streched leg.

It had worked, Bowie had her in his grasp. He pinned her to the ground being careful not to step on her wings. "Who will smite who now". He wore a smug smile on his muzzle.
