Sadly, that is very true, and it pains me that the U.S. is like that.
In my school, in California, we're very open about that, and we support those who are like that.
But that's only on the surface, for I know a handful who feel uncomfortable about the whole ordeal.
I, personally, believe that you can chose what ever sex you prefer to like. As long as
you believe you're making the right decision.
It's funny how kids in my school think I'm gay because I care deeply for gays/lesbians enough to violate the school-uniform code and where a gay-supporter shirt. (Which I got detention for.
xp ) And that I walked in a gay-support parade.
I'm a huge supporter for it, that I actually ended up crying when they passed prop-8. (Which I went around and scratched people's cars who had it's bumper-sticker).
I believe that other people have no right to decide other people's fate/love.
Isn't the U.S. the land of the free?
When in reality, we are denying the rights that any human being should be allowed to have.
I really hope for things change, even though I have a doubt.
But then again, life can surprise you.
(Oh, I’m straight, by the way.)
