current guidelines-
- Your character must be posted in the RPC forum before you post in any RP Locations. Non-RP threads will be marked. Also, before you start RPing, you must have your character confirmed by a Mod. Confirmed character's names will be in the Confirmed Characters Post in the RPC thread.
- Your character may be anywhere between 10-23 years old (if a student). If so, they automatically belong to the grade corresponding to their age. You may also play an adult, but you must get confirmation from a Mod to do so.
- Don't go Godmode. It pisses off other players and gets you banned if reported for it.
- Don't flame/spam/excessively swear/act stupid/etc. Basically, if you read Gaia's ToS and know how to act like a decent human being, you should be fine.
- Literacy- this is meant to be a fairly serious RP, so please do your best with spelling, punctuation, grammar, etc. In case you haven't noticed, Gaia now has a spell-check in it's posting options, so use it. I realize that there are many people who type fast, don't speak English as a first language, or are just rotten spellers. It happens. Just do your best is all we're asking.
- Yes, this is a Negima RP. While this may take place in Mahora, and some of the characters from the series might exist in the same world... They don't here. You can't be any character from the manga, nor relative/acquaintance of such. Be original. That's what an RP is for.
- This RP is based off the Negima!: Magister Negi Magi manga series by Ken Akamatsu, and not the anime Mahou Sensei Negima! or Negima!?. Keep this in mind.

General Guidelines
This concerns anything else that isnt of immediate importance. All updates to the guidelines will go here as well, and the thread will read, "updated" to inform people.
The Annual System
If applied, there will be a loose overall time flow to the RP. They will go by month, and the RP will probably start with April (when students move up a grade, so basically it will be the start of the school year.) Each week, probably, will be a new month. Thus, in 7 days, it will be May, then the week after that, June, and so on. Locations will undergo change depending on the seasons. There will be a separate thread detailing all about this.
Main Forum/RP forum
As you can see, the subforums are what we call "RP forums"- only RP stuff goes on in there. The main forum is for all non-RP stuff. We will set up a separate OOC (Out Of Character) subforum to chat in. But anything that's meant to be administrative/OOC, will be posted in the Main Forum, so please don't RP in there.
RPOS forum
This subforum is used to cut down RP traffic in popular threads, to make it easier for everyone to RP. If the location you're in has too many posts in it to RP effectively, use this subforum instead.
Nature of posting
Generally, we like to have anything your character does be described in the past tense, as if you were writing as story about their actions. Also, please refrain from putting "action indicators"- i.e.- asterisks, dashes, or any other kind of sign or punctuation to mark a character's actions. Italic font is generally reserved for when a character is thinking to him or herself, which is also put in parentheses. And of course, anything your character says is put in parentheses as well. That's pretty much all for this section- don't be afraid to experiment with your posts to make them have more effect- i.e., font size, different colors, alignment, and so forth. Oh, and please refrain from using emoticons unless absolutely necessary. It's fine for OOC posts.
Relative Time and Posting
each thread is considered to be happening in a seperate relative time. thus, you can have your character, hypothetically, doing something in every single post, unless circumstances say otherwise. But when you're RPing in one location, and decide to move to another, it's sequential. If you move to a location that you're already RPing in, post in the RPOS instead.

if i remember right, you can do a pactio with yourself, but it must be done with the opening of veins and the swapping of blood

No..not with yourself, and you cant swap blood with yourself..cuz..then that'd be your own blood...again XD. I think I know what youre talking about though....whenever Negi said he activated his own contract, I think he simply used his magic to power himself up..not actually a pactio.

in theory it should work, giving you an artifact, because the blood exchange is done in a magic circle, and there are no pactio rules that say it cant be done, so if something is not disproven, then it must be true, correct?

Actually, it's not needed. Around the time of book 6 of the manga or so (I'm not really sure when), Negi came up with Cantus Bellax, which is pretty much a self-Pactio, except you don't get an artifact, and it's ridiculously energy inefficient, so you can only use it in short (ten to thirty-seconds) bursts.

But it wouldnt necessarily be a blood exchange seeing how it would be your own blood, therefore it would be as if nothing changed. Yeah same as what she said...I think when he said that that he only powered himself with magic, like he did anyone else.

the point of it is not to power up, but to get access to an artifact without having to rely upon someone else.
plus i think it has nothing to do with just the blood, but the ceremony itself.

Im sure that you cant actually pactio with yourself, and even so...Im sorry but that's one of our rules, your free to use Cantas Baillax or whatever that spell that Negi uses is.

Is that right..., well either way you're are completely free to allready have a probational pactio allready. So you can allready be pactioed with an uknown characte.

Hmm, I have found a hole in our rules!
We could create multiple accounts and each of them would have a character and we could send them in and...and...
I don't know really what the hell you would do with all those characters...
