There's this new e-book coming soon to the place where I get all my e-books from. It's mainly about wicca (witchcraft) but has a serious lesbian element to it. The two female main characters get together according to the review. Heres a little bit of it (it tells you when it comes out).
I am soooooo gonna get a copy, put the date on your calender and check it out!!!.

I am a fanatical reader. I have always loved books and I take great pleasure in talking about them. This summer I enjoyed Harry Potter and re-read a few of his old adventures. I discovered a cache of books from several years ago, Jacqueline Wilson predictably reigning supreme. I have plundered our local library many times, and searched frequently for new books online, but there is one area in which I am continually disappointed.

I am talking of course about pagan fiction.

A few years ago I read some of the “circle of three” books by Isobel Bird, I was spellbound. Three teenage girls practicing Wicca according to real life, not just some power hungry cult or sect sacrificing sheep. I re-read it over the summer and was a little more critical. The book, although portraying Wicca accurately, was let down by a rather “fluffy” approximation of teenage life.

I searched for something with a little more weight; I tried the library, bookstores and finally (lie all devoted modern readers) turned to the web. After about an hour of searching Amazon, eBay and the lie I stumbled upon a little purple banner that answered my prayers. “The Witching Well - Available Soon to Lulu.com”.

Intrigued I clicked and followed a trail of links to the homepage of the book’s author. The book itself is about three teenagers, living in rural England. Together they discover Wicca in an occult shop called “The Well” and form a sort of mini-coven.

“We’ve heard it all before!” I hear you cry, Well no, that’s not quite true.

For starters one of the three main characters is MALE. This a new thing to the world of teen-pagan fiction. The three teens also deal with real life issued such as abuse, death, love and sexuality. So, not just more bloodless teen fiction. The book also includes very little “magic”; instead it highlights Wiccan principles and the thought behind the magic. This shows the seriousness of all magical workings.

The extract that I hunted down amazed me. The book is not just speech and bare bones of plot, it has subtext, dream sequences, intelligent comments on the nature of Wicca and enough lyrical description to make me weep with joy. The characters seem complex and the plot full of metaphor. I t has humour, drama, beautiful ritual descriptions and characters in SPADES.

The second part of the book introduces a new “Coven”, the coven of hearts blood. The stark contract between the three “real wiccans” and their gothic bloodthirsty counterparts is palpable. This piece of fiction lays open the myths of “Wicca = Satanism” and shows the difference between the reality of Wicca and the dark fantasy used to demoralise us.

If all of this hasn’t got you chomping at the bit for the books release, then I have something that will definitely grab your attention. The author of this book is SIXTEEN.

The English school girl (Wiccan for 3 years according to her profile) started the book when she was just fifteen. After a year of research and writing she has produced a heart breaking realistic picture of teenage life, adding Wiccan undertones to create this beautiful book.

Due to be added to the internet on the 1st of October this book is sure to create a storm in the pagan community.

I am not usually a great fan of e-books, but I do intent to download this one. The price is no object (although it is tiny compared to that of most e-books) I will definitely add this to my prestigious collection, I hop you do too.

Check Lulu.com for “The Witching Well” e-book on 1st October, trust me you’ll love it.
