Ilikepie4 Psychosomatic, strange chemicals or body snatchers? http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,22439164-2,00.html Reminds me of the time that almost all the people and livestock in this African village fell dead for no apparent reason. Turns out later that their lake was of the odd disposition to accumulate high amounts of CO2 which every few several dozen years it burps and the cloud of invisible, metallic tasting/smelling CO2 would rush through and suffocate everything. It was a silent and invisible death, so they thought it was crazy marauding spirits...nope! Just nature being weird.

Lake Nios was the location in Cameroon.
Regarding this story...uh...great. She's a thief and people are standing up for that. She refuses to follow the law to express her opinion in a civil and legal format and instead clings to these "dreadful volumes."
1 - she's made the book more popular with this action 2 - she's made herself look like a fool for being radical instead of rational about speaking out against content that upsets her 3 - she's 14 years too late 4 - I like how racism was invoked in the first five posts 6 - where's Godwin?

Perhaps she wants those hot, hot books all for herself?

*bring bring* "Police, how may we help you?" "I'd like to report a theft." "What is the location?" "Lewiston, Maine." "...Sir, that's out of our jurisdiction, by several hundred miles..." "Oh...can you have the operator patch me through to the Lewiston police then?"
Seriously...also call the ACLU and then have that idiot thrown in jail for theft and violation of the first amendment.

I declare Theophrastus the winner, by means of TKO (technical kreep out).

Stranger, still? That's not the first time I've read about people being sexually attracted to traffic signs (the other one included road cones).
