Anyone else planning to see the new Joy Division film?

I'm very eager to see it, it sounds really interesting because I've always wondered about Ian Curtis and I can never find a good article about him.

Does anyone know if there's a biography on him or anything?

Actually, yes.

It's more of Ian's biopic film than a JD film.

Think it's still a film festival only release. not sure when it comes out as a general release.

I've been wanting to see Control too. I've seen 24 Hour Party People, which was a dissappointment. I'm a Die Hard Joy Division fan, but it's kinda difficult to find Control in the U.S. right now. It looks like a great movie too! It's interesting how they always usually make anything to do with Joy Division in black and white most of the time. Is this the only Joy Division forum?

The documentary was pretty good. Both are out on DVD now.

I watched the movie last night! Though, I knew what would happen in the end, I still found it extremely depressing. Ian Curtis had to go through a ton of b.s. in his life, so I can understand why he hung himself. I still haven't healed from the sorrow of that movie. But I do have to say it was very in depth and very well acted and set.

I liked both films.

The documentary revealed a lot of stuff that I never knew about the band.
