Heyah, doll-guild. I'm planning on making my Raziel a hakama, and a light-weight summer-kimono (I haven't found the right fabric for a formal, more traditional looking one.) He's also got a set of clothes in the works for Neko Con, I'm hoping to make him look like the 'geeky' kid that one usually finds in a group of people, the one who is computer savvy and can fix anything (While that is not myself, that's my favourite character in groups) [these clothes include a pair of baggy socks, that I've already made, khaki shorts, a black tee shirt, and a black hooded sweater, and possibly a pair of head phones. The theme for the dolls is zombie/post apocalyptic, and that was the only thing I could think of for him.]

Anywho, hakama. I have this nifty pattern here: http://maerz-valentine.livejournal.com/

But, it's confusing as all hell. Does any one have any suggestions for making the hakama, or ANYTHING?

For anyone who doesn't know, these are hakama examples. I'm looking to create an outfit similar to the first one, with less irritating fabric for the actual hakama (the pants)

I'm sorry but pleats are not something I can do, so I can't really give advice. Hopefully someone here makes pleated skirts or can at least interperet the pattern for you.

I'm sure I could figure it out, if I worked really hard at it. I'm just hoping that someone can translate it from gibberish.
