((I got bored....but this is all of it from the shop ^_^))
It was late morning when Hurit emerged from her den yawning lazily. She had spent most the night searching for the poor motherless cubs (any basket babies she has run across)) and not slept well. How could any mother abandon her young?! She shook her head again, ears flciking back annoyed as she headed for the river. Maybe breakfast would cheer her up.
Cavan slipped into the river, splashing about. He loved his morning swim. This was a new area, and he planned to have fun exploring it, including the river. He paddled in circles for a while, wondering what he would do the rest of the day. He hadn't seen anyone else around lately, so he probably wouldn't get to talk to anyone, but that was okay. He supposed he'd just explore all day in that case.
Hurit blinked startled at the strange ursine in her river. She whuffed laying her ears back and bawls faintly stomping her front feet threateningly. After all what if this stranger hurt the abandoned cubs that made their homes in her territory.
Cav started, going under for a moment before recovering. He backed out of the water (on the opposite side of the newcomer). He tossed his head and pawed the ground, wondering what this strange female was about.
Hurit paused when she noticed that the stranger was a large male. A large nice looking male. Matter of fact he was the first other adult she had seen. She perked her ears up whuffing curiously " Hello...I'm sorry you startled me..."
Cavan let himself relax a bit. "It's all right. I would've probably yelled at you if I was in your place." He smiled, hoping she wouldn't get mad at him or something. He seemed to tend to manage to always mess things up. And this girl wasn't too hard on the eyes; definitely not something he wanted to mess up...
She chuckled faintly trotting down to the river. "there are some cubs around that I keep an eye on and well..strange males have been none to kill cubs. I can not take chances."
Cavan laid down, letting the female come closer without any hint of threat from him. "I don't hurt cubs," he reassured. "I might look dangerous, but I'm really not." He gave her his best mock-killer expression, then laughed.
Hurit rumbled lazily amused. "You would have to worry about me. I may look delicate..I'm not." She slipped down to the river padding into the water.
Cavan grinned. "Oh, I'm sure you are. My older sisters beat me up all the time when I was younger..."
Hurit's nose twitched with amusement " Most males wouldn't admit that. I don't think I would admit that." She chuckled softly as she began to fish for her breakfast, keeping one eye on the strange male. " How did you end up in this part of the woods anway?"

((Oh my gosh, THANK YOU. My parents just took away most of my time online, so I was afraid I wouldn't get around to it. xO))
"No, they probably wouldn't," Cavan returned with a grin. "However, I am not most males. As for how I ended up here... that's a long story without much point. I just wander where I please and happened to end up here today..."

((no problem!))
Hurit rumbled faintly looking amused. "No..no you don't seem like most the males I have met. I was raised around here. By a human girl if you can believe that. " She snuffled along the bank of the river seeming to pay no attention to him till she whuffed happily digging at a stone. "want some grubs?"

"A human girl, eh?" Cavan raised an eyebrow, dropping his head onto his crossed paws as he watched the female. "And, um... sure; thank you. I haven't quite got breakfast yet, so that would be wonderful."

Hurit nodded as she nudged the huge rock over and move aside to let him have first choice. " I was born among humans. They kept me for a pet for awhile till I grew too large. Then the girl came and taught me how to live in the woods before she released me here."

She sighed softly, one ear flicking back as she wiggled her nose " It is hard to describe. They could be kind but at the same time cruel. Though they never seemed to mean their cruelty. The girl was nice though. She seemed to think like a bear."

She smiled and moved to the side " I believe I have already offered that once Cavan." She smiled more chuckling at the big male. He was awful cute and seemed very kind. But time would tell. She let the silence strech between them for a long moment before asking him in a off tone " Do you have a mate Cavan?"

((-giggles- I don't think they'd introduced themselves yet, had they? wink ))
"Um... no, I don't," Cavan replied as he started digging at where he thought some grubs might be. "Why?"
((Mwuaha, evil question... -wants to see how she'll reply- twisted )

((ack I thought they had))
Hurit stumbled faintly stammering when he asked her why, " well..I..uh..umm..you see..." She huffed nervously her ears flicking back and forth nervously. "I.." She took a deep breath to steady her nerves before lifting her head to look at him "I am lonely and wanted to spend some time with you and I would rather not think I am taking someone's mate from them or some cubs father away..." She gave him a sly smile "do you want cubs Cavan?"

((Don' worry 'bout it. )) "Oh, all right." Cavan smiled; he would accept that answer. "Hmm... I don't know. Never really spent time around the little buggers. I suppose they might be fun, though..."

Hurit chuckled again " What would you think about cubs with me?" My but she was a blunt little thing. She huffed faintly amused " I think you are rather attractive and I think we will get along. I don't expect you to become my mate and stay if you don't wish but I want a cub. " She wanted so badly to be a mother and had no intrest in waiting to find a mate. A friend would be just as nice to raise younglings with...

Cavan sat down hard and stared at her. My, but wasn't she... blunt? "Um... I - really don't know. I - I've only just met you, and..." He trailed off, not quite sure what else to say to a question like this.
