 Have an idea for a RPG that you don’t have the time to set up yourself or are too self-conscious to attempt yourself? Considering your feelings, this thread is for the sharing of ideas--after all, who wants to go to all of that work by setting up a thread and wondering if anyone else will actually enjoy it? I’m revolted at the thought! Yuck! Thus, here, you can figure out if anyone else is willing to participate in your RPG before you go the ultimate trouble of dishing out a thread for it! In your post, please include some basic ideas about what your RPG will be about... Some pointers would be to tease us with a scene you’re particularly interested in, and that should tell you if anyone is going to like this RPG or not. Good luck!

Maybe we could role play the episode when Naraku Comes out of Mt. Hakurei. I think it would be cool to do that one!!^^

♥ | Normally when you role-play, you make up an original plot for it. While including a scene from the anime in a RP would be fine, is there any particular twist you would want to add to it to make it interesting? Perhaps something done differently, or a different outcome? Give it some thought; I'm interested. whee | ♥

Wait, i think I have an even better idea. This might sound weird, but what if Naraku has an interest in someone. She would be intellegent, powerful, and talented. The problem, she's an amazingly pure person who locks all darkness inside of her and is not fond of people with evil desires, plus she is a mortal. But we all know Naraku, he wont stop untill he gets what he wants

♥ | You mean an OC (original character; aka a character who does not exist within the original series)? If you read the rules, you'll see that we've put a lot of restrictions on creating those; that was instigated by SugarRos and me with the intention of clearing the potential threat of Mary-Sues (characters who are too perfect and unmatched) dominating the RPGs. sweatdrop If we're to create one, I'd prefer that he be minor enough to not require his own player. *cough*
My suggestion is that you use an existing character -- like Kikyou. You mentioned the time when Naraku came out of Mt. Hakurei -- at that time, he had his sights on killing Kikyou for his usual reasons. She would make a great target for him if you wanted to set a scenario where the characters are supposed to interfere with his plans to kill / wound her. | ♥

The thing is, I really couldn't think of an original plot for the Mt. Hakurei seen. Anyway i don't like the idea of Naraku & Kikyo together, besides Kikyo doesn't like him anyway. It's to bad about that rule, the character is a lot like me. Strong, yet not wanting to be strong, and is a little gullable. Are you sure we can't bend the rules just once, I was really hoping I could play as her.

Naraku and Kikyou don't have to be together, by the way. I meant using her as a target for Naraku to focus on, a fairly canon idea. But if you still don't like the idea, I guess it's back to the drawing board. whee

I have an idea(I just came up with it so please, bear with me)! What if, ten years after the series, Naraku-or some other super dad demon-managed to find its way from the feudal era to the presant times. I think that any of the original pairings shouldn't be very prominant in the rp, since it's ten years after. 3nodding Sorry, just a thought I figured I should put out there.

♥ | Sounds good so far - I would love to do a present era RP! Pairings don't have to be prominent (especially if it's ten years later - they should have that stuff sorted out by now lol), but we should definitely decide which characters we want to focus on.
And what would the timeline for this be? If Naraku is the big bad I would assume it would be set sometime before the end of the series. [Manga spoiler:So no disappeared jewel, no Kagome and Inuyasha being stuck in the past, and Naraku not being dead yet.] smile | ♥

Thank-you. whee I think that one of the made-ups should be a kid from one of the original pairings...I just think it would be cool. And, I never got to finish the manga but if(AND I SAID IF ont did) die, then he could just be brought back to life somehow...haha. He could pull a Kikyo(Kikyo's awesome. 3nodding )

♥ | Kids? [Manga spoiler: If we're talking kids, I think it should be one of Miroku and Sango's children. They had children at the end of the manga - three of 'em - although they were never given names....]
Naraku getting revived is fine lol. We're gonna have to cover how he ends up in the present era, how everyone finds out about it, and how they give chase. Oh! I have an idea: what if Miroku's kid(s) - and Miroku himself probably - suddenly had the Kazaana (re)appear in their hands? That would be dead giveaway that Naraku is alive somewhere, somehow.
If this is about tens years from the end of the series, we can focus on (semi-)grown-up!Shippou. I love Shippou. xd | ♥

Lol. Yeah. Okay. The Kazaana thing sounds like a good idea. Now, how Naraku finds his way into the presant times.....hhmmm....maybe, they find some of his remains and one of the characters gets dared to try a revive spell on them. And it ends up working.

♥ | The first thing that came to my mind when you said that was "Souta!" I would say Souta finds Naraku's remains (in the present era) and Souta, newly trained by Jii-chan in the arts of chants and spells (and way better at it than Jii-chan, obviously), gets teased and dared by his friends into trying a spell not knowing that remains were Naraku's and not actually believing that the spell would work.
Then after Naraku revives, the Kazaana opens itself in Miroku's and his family's hands, alerting everyone that something is badly amiss, though they don't know that Naraku is alive in the present era... They have to find out somehow, and then find a way to get there. [Manga spoiler: At the end of the manga, the well sealed Kagome in the present era for three years before allowing her to return to the feudal era forever. So neither Inuyasha or her can get back to the present...through the well, at least - unless it reopens.] | ♥

That works. We should have a character tied(or semi-tied) to Naraku...sorry. I was just thinking that my character could have a part of his sould so kinda has ocassional personality disorder or something.

♥ | Well, as a long-withstanding general rule we typically avoid original characters unless they are absolutely necessary to complete the plot. I think we can pull off this idea without any OCs myself. If we have too many plot-holes, I will keep it in mind, but right now we can veer from that just using the characters Takahashi-sensei gave us.
The well connects the two times together. [Manga spoiler: However, in the manga it was revealed that the well's purpose was to tie Inuyasha and Kagome together.] We can retcon change that, if for this reason Kagome and Inuyasha desperately need to go back, and have the well pick up on that, allowing Inuyasha and Kagome to return to the present era again. I think that would work. What do you think? | ♥
