Okay, Dir En Grey is not Jrock. Is Visual Kei.
Visual Kei :
Refers to a movement among Japanese musicians, that is characterized by the use of eccentric, sometimes flamboyant looks. This usually involves striking make-up, unusual hair styles and elaborate costumes, often, but not always, coupled with androgynous aesthetics. Some sources state that the term "Visual Kei" refers to a music genre, or to a sub-genre of J-rock, with its own particular sound, related to glam-rock, punk and metal, and with strong emphasis on its unique style of dress. However, other sources state that the term refers primarily to a style of dress or fashion, or sub-culture, and not to a genre of music, and some sources use the term in both ways.
Visual kei is far too different in sound production not only in style than normal JRock.
Thus. Almost all the bands I will post, are Visual Kei.
x.x I feel odd posting them in a Jrock thread.
We need a Visual Kei Subforum .
