Prompt
Walking along the path, the suns warms your neck in a gentle way and the breeze seems to caress your body in a cooling embrace. Everything seems so peaceful and serene. A nearby stream murmurs and sighs nearby as well. Thirsty, you make your way to the river and begin to bend to drink from its clear waters when something catches your eye. Looking up, a magnificent Nokose can be seen fluttering a foot or two above the ground and landing near the river as well. It looks up and looks you directly in the eye. What Happens? What does he/you say? What does he/you do?
Be detailed and interesting~!

Instinct kicked in. All the stories Sienna had heard growing up rolled through her mind, louder than a thunderstorm. Was it play dead? Run as fast as she could for the nearest tree? No and no. Neither of those made sense. After all those pieces of advice dealt with black bears and grizzlies, the dangerous kind. No one had ever mentioned blue wings as a choice.

So she stood at the edge of the river, hardly daring to breathe. Eye contact! the voice at the back of her mind chirped. Eye contact was a threat, wasn't it? And yet, something in the bear's posture, in the way he studied her, didn't seem at all threatened. She wasn't afraid. As a matter of fact, if she didn't know better, she'd almost think he was ... smiling at her? Just a little lift around the edges of his muzzle. Indulgent, encouraging.

"If you're thirsty, please drink."

Sienna startled and stepped back, so surprised that one heel skidded off the river bank and she ended up sitting fast. One leg folded beneath her. The other dangled angle-deep in cool water. She hardly noticed the water soaking her shoe and sock. She couldn't have heard-- He didn't-- She frowned faintly and took a deep breath.

"Did you just talk to me?"

"Of course I did." His voice was low and warm, friendly. Now Sienna knew for sure that he smiled at her. He tipped an ear toward her then continued on his way toward the water, all four paws solidly on the ground and his wings tucked neatly at his sides. "It would be rude to ignore you, and there's more than enough water to share." He tilted his head at her dangling foot. "But I don't think you can drink that way."

Sienna started again, now looking down at her sodden shoe. A blush sprang up in her cheeks and she tugged her leg out of the water, shifted her weight and sat on her knees. She watched the creature -- bear but he was more than that, somehow -- lower his head at the river's edge and drink. The breeze that had kept her cool ruffled his feathers and his fur. He was real. Or she was dreaming.

She pinched herself, hard. She bit the inside of her cheek to keep from crying out. It hurt, and her vision blurred briefly with the haze of tears, but when she blinked them away, the winged bear was still there. Still drinking. Still amused. It chuffed and sat and peered back at her levelly.

She'd come here to drink, hadn't she? She had an invitation to do just that. It'd be silly not to follow through. Still blushing, she bent and scooped up handfuls of water. It tasted cooler, sweeter, than she imagined that it would. As she drank, she relaxed, joy spreading through her. When she sat up and wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, the bear laughed -- laughed! -- and climbed to his feet.

"I've spent too much time just watching and not enough down here with earth beneath my feet. Will you walk with me a while and tell me how things are now?"

Sienna climbed to her feet as well. Her knees felt a little weak, but a curious sort of joy fluttered under her ribs, like a butterfly had somehow gotten trapped there. "Me?"

"You," the bear agreed. "I think I'll like the way you see the world. I know that I like your bravery." He shifted, wings rustling for a moment as a shoulder moved in something like a shrug. "Touch my shoulder and we'll walk together for a while."

Cautiously, hardly daring to believe what she was doing, Sienna stepped closer. Her hand hovered above fur the color of the sky and just as warm as the sunlit day. She held her breath and let it fall against the bear, then gasped and curled her fingers deep into thick fur. Real. Definitely real.

The bear chuffed again. "There, now I believe in you, too." And off they went, walking together and trading stories.

Neron smiled to himself as he bent down, his muzzle dipped partly into the cool water to drink. He hadn't heard nor seen anything when he put his head down but now his small ears were up as high as they could go, straining to hear the noise again. The noise was the smallest sound, almost as if a small bird had rushed past his head, but it couldn't have been a bird. Birds usually stayed away from him or chirped at him angerly.

Slowly raising his head from the river, Neron froze in his place. Across the shallow river stood a majestic blue and white male bear, with large feathery wings, and sky blue eyes that were gazing straight back at him. Neron squeezed his eyes tight and reopened them to shake the legendary bear from his vision, but the bear did not disappear. He just stood, watching Neron.

Quietly, Neron broke the surrounding silence. "..Uh...Hello.." He spoke cautiously yet kept his tone friendly. The sky blue bear on the other side seemed to smile, spread his great wings and gently lifted himself across the river before landing right infront of Neron. " Run!" Neron's mind demanded, but his legs and paws refused to listen. " RUN!" His mind demanded again, but no response. " Hello, young adult." The God bear spoke, his voice deep, magical and friendly. Neron relaxed and was somewhat soothed by it.

Now that the other bear was close, Neron really began to admire the color and pattern of this bear. Those feathery blue wings, something one would see on a bird, but on a bear? Before he could even think, wrapped in the thoughts of this other bear, a question popped out of his mouth. " So...what's the Meaning of Life?" Neron's own blue paw found its way to covering his muzzle. The God bear laughed heartdly at the question and shook his head. " That is something I do not know, nor do I wish to know. To me, all that matters in life is that the Sun rises in the Morning, the Moon at night. As long as there is food in my belly, and a mate by my side I'll be happy. Of course, also good friends to share it all with. There is no need to know more or less of what will be awaiting around life's corners. Takes all the fun out of it." The bear winked and chuckled softly. Neron's maw was open slightly at the wisdom of these words. He nodded slowly, taking it in and thinking about what was said.

Again the sky-patterned bear chuckled and began to wade into the River. With his head he indicated for Neron to follow him. " Speaking of food and good friends to share it with, let us go find some." Neron followed obidently, his maw now shut and smile on his lips.

I fell over backwards and land on my but with a thump from the surprise of seeing a large bear, a blue large bear, a blue large bear with wings. "How can this be? I wonder. Did I fall down the rabbit hole?

The bear tilted his head and landed on the other side of the stream. "Your an odd one." He remarks.

"Oi I'm not odd I'm just...." I trail off. How could this be? A talking blue bear with wings no less. "What are you?" I asks. I'm not frighten any more, instead I'm curious and wet?....I'm half way into the stream. I have gotten up with out realizing it and am half way through the shallow stream towards him. He seems friendly enough so I put all my doubt aside.

"I'm a god." He chuckles and grins.

"You are not!" I retort.

"How can you be sure that I'm not?" He's grin had turned into a smirk.

I am left speechless. How did this bear get one up on me so fast.

"You see you can say nothing! I win!" He roars with laughter as he folds in his wings. "Why are you in that stream any ways? You are odd."

"You do not!" I feel like I'm talking to an arrogant child. "I got hot and needed to cool down. Why do you care?" I told him a lie so he couldn't make fun of me again.

"I care because your scaring away my salmon. Oh well I guess I can holds out till tomorrow." He let out a sigh, he really sounded down.

"I-I'm sorry." I move over to his side and from my pocket I pull out my lunch in a plastic bag. A tuna sandwich, surely not enough for a bear but I wanted to show him I was sorry and I wanted to be nice. Maybe we could be friends? I thought as I held out one half to him after all he seemed so fun, so full of life. "It's for you if you want it."

He sniffs it first then gingerly takes it and eats it. "It's good!" He exclaims. "What is it?"

"Tuna. I type of fish and some mayo, oh and lettuce too." I smile and eat my own half, happy that I could make him happy once more.

"Could you bring me more?" He asks and really seems like a child this time.

"If you be my friend I will." I don't know why but I can feel the blood rushing to my cheeks, they feel so warm. I must be blushing up a storm.

"I thought we already where." He smiles and lifts a great big sparkling white paw and rest it on my head. It weigh a ton and nearly made me topple over again.

For the rest of the summer we where inseparable.
