Username: Jihi-san
Character's...
Name: Li Feng
Race: Fenghuang
Age: Unknown; appears to be in her early twenties.
Skin Tone: Ivory
Height: 5'6''
Weight: 125 lbs.
Hair Color and Style: Brown; intricately styled with lots of elaborate adornments.
Eye Color: Violet
Personality: Over the years, Li Feng has become reclusive from the rest of society. She and Ailinae both live high up on Faolun Peak where the two of them can live out their days in peace and privacy. Those who know her often describe Li Feng as a wise, graceful woman who is careful in her words and actions; she's never jumped into things without thinking them through first. Devoutly religious, she has been known to fast for days in prayer as well as sit for hours in meditation. She also has a high level of self-control, which has enabled her to master various forms of martial arts. Despite her past history, Li Feng will tell you that she is now a peaceful soul with no desire to harm any living creature physically; fighting others is now behind her, unless the need is dire.
Character Description:
User Image

Li Feng's main weapons include a jian and a bo staff.
Character's Ulaith/Mount: Ailinae
Character's Tribe: ---
Extras: Long ago, Li Feng served the La'don as a general to their army. A master of multiple martial arts: Shaolin Kung Fu, T'ai Chi Ch'uan and Wing Chun, she was a big asset to the army in battle. Everything concerning her time serving in the war seemed to be going fine until the death of her first Ulaith occurred. Having been deeply attatched to the creature, Li Feng found herself deep in mourning. Ailinae, her second and younger Ulaith at the time, was just a baby then. It was because of the baby Ulaith that the once-great general seemingly disappeared from the battlefield, never to be seen again. Li Feng wanted to make sure that what had happened to her first Ulaith never happened to Ailinae, and it was because of this that she hid away in the slopes of Faolun Peak. It is there that Li Feng and Ailinae call home now. With the desire to live the rest of her life in peace without having to deal with the horrors of war, Li Feng became a recluse. Unlike her Chosen, on the other hand, Ailinae has frequently been seen roaming around the lands beneath the peak in hopes of having some of her own kind to talk with. All in all, the two of them are happy with their life in the mountains, content to know that they will be able to live in peace for as long as possible.

Quinlan walked on, in spite of the nagging ache of his right front shoulder. He had an arrow in his left flank, not too deep, but enough for a noticeable limp. He couldn't stop. Not until he found someone to help his Chosen. The had briefly gotten separated in the confusion of battle and Avid had been ganged up upon. He held his own, but not without sustaining several serious blows of his own.

Avid laid on his stomach, holding onto his Ulaith's back. He was fading in and out of consciousness, but continued to whisper comforting things to his Bonded, trying to quelle the male's anxiety and not really succeding. Quin's wings were folded protectively over his chosen, keeping out most of the cooler mountain air.

A mist began to form up in the upper cliffs of Faolun Peak, cloaking everything in a blanket of white. The air was crisp and as cool as always; a feeling that Ailinae loved. At the moment, the female Ulaith was making her rounds of the area surrounding her home when she stumbled across something rather unexpected. An azure colored Ulaith carrying a man, presumably his Chosen, was making his way up the mountain.

'What could they be doing up here?'

It was after she asked herself that question that Ailinae noticed the arrow in Quinlan's side, and that Avid was injured as well. Her eyes widened in a mix of shock and horror at the sight, and Ailinae found herself jumping down from her spot in order to land gracefully in front of Quinlan.

"Come," she muttered quickly, turning to walk up a set of large stairs made of stone. "I know someone who can help you."

Quinlan let a silent snarl pull on his muzzle when the female first landed in front of him. He calmed slightly at hearing that someone could help them. He kept his guard up, and was suspicious on whether to follow her or not. But Avid decided for him. He felt his chosen's hand slip limply down his side as he faded out of the waking world again. Quin pressed his wings protectively against his blacked out companion. He followed the graceful female up the stone stairs.

'I don't know who this female is but I need to get Avid looked at and if she knows someone who can help him then that's good enough for me.'

Quin found himself having to walk relatively close behind Ailinae, for his fatigue and the thick mist obscured his vision more than it would were he healed and rested.

With Ailinae leading, the three of them descended up the stairs. Up and up they wound, until Ailinae thought that she could walk no more, a building came into view. Before them stood a large building shaped like a pagoda with other small buildings surrounding it. It looked almost as if it were a temple of some sort, nestled high up in the mountains behind the cliffs so that no one could find it. Lighted lanterns illuminated the entrance to the strange place, giving off an eerie glow as the group approached the door.

Once they had reached it, Ailinae slid the door open with a flick of her tail then moved aside for them to enter. After they were in, she too stepped through the door and walked past Quinlan and down another corridor. Pausing, the white female turned to look back at her Ulaith companion before disappearing from site completely. "Stay here. I'll go and get my Chosen." And with that, she was gone, leaving Quinlan and Avid alone in the eerie, yet calming building for a few moments until her Chosen returned to help them.

Quinlan's shoulder and side were sending stabs of pain with every step that he took. He looked around the temple like building. He hadn't seen a building like this since he was rather small and that was from the air. It had an eerie, almost haunted feeling, but had a distinct air of serenity. Quin entered the room which Ailinae had opened. The azure ulaith nodded as the female exited to fetch her Chosen.

Quin looked back to his own unconscious chosen. He gingerly lowered himself to the ground and shifted his torso a little so, causing Avid to slide into one of the blue's waiting wings. He gently set him on the floor, Avid's eyes were closed and his head lolled to one side. Quin withdrew his wing and ignored the blood that spotted his fair feathers. He laid down next to Avid on the floor, curling his tail around the fallen human. Avid had gotten a slash to his left side, a cut on his face, and a wound to his right thigh, amoung several bruises and scrapes. Quinlan sighed and lightly nuzzled Avid's blonde hair.

Down the hall that Ailinae had disappeared came the whisper of voices followed by the soft pattering of footsteps. From the corridor a woman appeared dressed a beautiful outfit made of silk. Fine embroidery was etched into the cloth, giving her whole ensemble a look of wealth. Brown locks of hair were twisted and combed back intricately with many adornments placed in it. The Ulaith appeared a moment later by the woman's side and gave Quinlan a sheepish smile.

"Oh, dear," said the woman softly, a creamy colored hand gingerly tracing over Avid's wounds. "This isn't good. This isn't good at all." Li Feng's brow furrowed in a worried expression as she disappeared down another hall only to return a few moments later with a bowl of warm water, washcloths, antibiotics, and rolls of bandages. "Don't worry, my winged friend," Li Feng told Quinlan as she began to clean the various marks his Chosen had received, "your Chosen will be taken care of, and then I will clean and dress your wounds as well." Those were the last words she spoke to the creature for a while as she worked in silence, concentrating on the man in front of her.

With Avid's wounds cleaned and taken care of, Li Feng then moved on to Quinlan's. As carefully as she could, she took out the arrow and cleaned out the piercing. She then bandaged it and gathered up her materials, disappearing down the hall again before returning empty handed. "Both of you should rest," Li Feng explained kindly as she took a seat on the other side of Avid. "I'll watch over you both to make sure nothing happens. Do not be afraid, dear Ulaith. I'm not an enemy of you or your Chosen, but a friend. My name is Li Feng."

Quinlan blinked at the appearance of a richly adorned woman. He glanced over at Ailinae almost inquisitively. He mindspoke to her. "Thank you for taking us here. I really appreciate you and your chosen's willingness to aid us. Oh! My name is Quinlan, but you could call me Quin, if'n you so wish."

Quinlan watched Li Feng's work on Avid like a hawk. It wasn't that he didn't trust her. Ailinae and her chosen seemed nice enough, but he didn't want anything else bad happening to Avid. His chosen having been taken care of he let the woman dress his own wounds. His shoulder wasn't too terrible, but having the arrow pulled from his side hurt about as much as it did when it went in.

Quin wouldn't object to resting. He'd need to either groom himself later or be washed. He still had mud and blood on him; not only his and Avid's but the blood of those who fell around them on the field of battle. He felt Avid's blood become sticky in the mane on his back and on his feathers. He would've cleaned himself now, but his fatigue was causing the edges of his vision to blur and darken. He nodded, laid his head down next to his Chosen's, closed his eyes, and rested.

Once Quinlan was resting both Chosen and Bonded stared down at the pair in silence. As they watched, Ailinae's wings fluttered a bit in curiosity; the only noise audible in the room save for their breathing. Satisfied that the two of them were now resting away some of their exhaustion, Li Feng turned without saying a word and made her way down to another part of their temple-like home.

'You shouldn't have brought them here, no matter how injured they were,' said the Chosen to her Bonded through their telepathic link. These words made Ailinae frown in sadness. "They were hurt, Li Feng. I couldn't just leave them; it would only lead to their death." Pausing with a sigh, the fenghuang turned to look back at her Ulaith. 'Even so, Ailinae, they will wonder about us...and questions will be asked, ones that we don't want to answer. Be careful about what you say to them; telling them too much will just cause us trouble.'

Quinlan and Avid rested for several hours. Quin stirred first, his wounds being not as severe as his Chosen. He lifted his head and yawned sleepily. He checked over Avid, satisfied that his wounds were well bandages, then got up slowly, feeling the twinge of pain from his side. He extended his fair, blue tipped feathered wings and picked at the dried blood that was left when he lowered Avid to the floor. It had dried fast. He sat down with a thump and picked at the blood with his teeth, wondering how he'd even begin to reach the blood on his back.

Quin looked around and mindspoke to Ailinae, or he at least hoped that she'd hear his call. 'I'm afraid I didn't get your name, but could you show me to some place where I can clean myself up. I've got the field still on me and its dried into my mane and wings. Please help me if you can hear me. Thanks, if so.'
