Suuuuuurrrre he did...*pats wingnut on the head*
xd
What unknown band? Oh, random venue fact. So, the place where the Bravery is playing on Thurs (when I'm seeing them whee ), has Guster playing the next day (when I'm not seeing them crying ), and then the New Pornographers come Monday. I just found that hilarious. It's the small things in life that amuse me... mrgreen

I might be seeing the New Pornographers in October, but I'm not sure if it's an all ages show.
I was listening to Garner. Drum teacher's band. xd

@wingnut: I started it? Am I missing something?
I wish I lived anywhere that wasn't at least two hours away from a good venue! The area where I live is nothing but a damned gigantic cornfield! Seeing BnL in Toledo (which is only about 45 minutes away) was probably a once in a lifetime occurrence.
I listened to some of Garner's stuff before, and they sounded pretty good! Do you know how they're going to be releasing their album (via "internet", local stores/concerts, everywhere, etc)?

No. You don't want to live where I live. You want to live where I lived back in May and the year-ish before that; ie San Francisco. Which is about four hours from where I live now. I think I'm actually about equally far away from LA and SF now...*goes to check* So...the maps say I'm 2.5 hours away from SF and 4.5 hrs away from LA...so not so equally distant...and it definitely takes 3-4 hours to get to SF from here. I'm just music-crazed, that's all... xd
Hey, now I want to listen. Do they have a website?

My problem is I live close to a place with tons of venues, only the bands I like always play at the age-restricted ones. evil
I believe Garner's album's coming out on Nov. 30 (well, that's when their album release concert/party is). I'll be getting my copy straight from Matt the Drummer (he promised me an advance copy if I bring one of my friends to a songwriting seminar they're doing), but I don't know how they'll be distrubuting it. I can ask if you want.
@phlipp: www.myspace.com/garnerband . They're a bit jazzier/funk-ish than BnL, but I like them anyway. mrgreen I'm really enjoying All I Really Know right now... I might figure out the guitar chords, mainly because my drum teacher was all like "ooooh our guitarist is a CRAZY JAZZ GUITARIST! so you can't figure out our chords!!!).

Don't you just hate it when bands do that? It should be illegal. Instead, it's illegal for me to go watch them. Look at it this way, at least you don't have to wait until you're 21...
Sweet, I'll check them out later (I think right now I may really try to go do some homework...at least, I should).
You know, whenever someone says I can't do something, I immediately set out to prove them wrong. So, go for it! xd

But then I'd have to learn French.
Working on the chords now. It's stinkin' hard. But I'll finish it soon.
