how fast does your ac go.

it dosent mean squat to equip your ac with the best weapons learn the best tactics and learn to out smart your opponent if your ac is a rock
so you by light weight parts you and equip light weaponary but now your ac is inefective in a fight
as it stands without weaponery of any kind my ac selena with an exeed orbit can hit speeds of 740mph on a normal walking pace it reaches 135mph. but its defence dosent even pass 5000 ap. on the other hand my ac aries is just a mobile turret loaded down with heavy hard hitting knuckle busting fire power it is infact so heavy no leg parts tuned to max weight capacity can support it and the ap is unbleavable
so what do you do. comprimise i did and i came up with the alinoma
it uses all energy weapons and has a decent speed of 403mph in eo and it still packs a wallup somuch of a punch infact that it can take out an opposing ac in little under ten minutes (that is a com controlled ac) so i ask you is speed whats important or should you go for balls to the walls fire power,

My fastest was a Nexuz/LR creation that used the Pegasus boosters, Blade arms, and the hover extensions. Using light parts but beefing up the armor and a slight bit of cooling, I was able to create an AC that I think (It has beena while since I got in it!) went near 500 km/h, not even overboosting.

Not usually my style, but it's perfect for those blade matches that pop up from time to time, ya? mrgreen

but even with the pegasus booster an ac cant walk faster than 200 kph
you have to use your boosters and hover not lift off the ground but running parallel to it . thats the only way you could reach 500kph trust me ive weight tuned every part and sorted by the lightest to the heaviest
with the exception of the booster in which case i went for output power not weight and partial tuned it half and half between weight and output.

My fastest mech is SHADOW GUARD, who goes 717 km/h when fully equipped with two heavy long range rifles and shoulder units, 745 km/h with nothing on it.

Well, for one, I'm playing Armored Core 4.

I use the SALAUX body frame with an experimental lightweight head known as the HD-KRAKEN. Basically, the whole thing is listed in my Pilot Information, so if you wanna see all of his specs, they are there.

Also, in AC4 having speed is a really good attribute, as the game is really well balanced. When you have speed, you know you do, basically; so going 745 on a biped is insane and if you perform the right motion, is very easy to simply dodge missles. The best part really lies when you can manuever well enough to keep your opponent looking for you, because your constantly outdodging and moving them to the point where they don't hit you once, and sometimes I've gotten several to simply stop trying and sit there, waiting to die. razz

well i havent played ac4 yet so i dont have any idea what your talking about
but i promise you if you were to try that with me it wouldnt work i have excellent aiming ability and a sweet peace of equipment maybe youve heard of it the echidna missle pod system not to mention two of the most usefull items for mobile combat there is the finger machine gun. my ecm performance is in the s class almost all my stats are except attack and its in a b class. i am very adept at taking down a mobile target especially wht i like to call hoppers. ( cores that constantly move up and down in all directions almost impossible to get a lock on to)

Hehe. Well, I hope you get Armored Core 4 then, so we can meet on the battlefield razz . I'm no hopper, but I do go into the air every once in a while if it is profitable to outmaneuver my enemy.

My friend has armored core 4 for the ps3... he rubs it in like salt on a gunshot wound....

Haha. Do you know if they have a lot of people on the PS3 version playing a lot? I mean, there are enough on the 360, but not as much as I'd like there to be, and besides that, there are too many people who just want to play Blade Matches...

I used 2 different AC's for a Speed Test. I used LR as it's the most recent (PS2) game. Both AC's were tuned for minimum Weight, and the only difference is that the Bi Ped model used the lightest leg part and the CR-8B3TP (read: Fast) Booster. The other Model used the CR-LN91HM Hover Legs.

Bi-Ped-

Speed with out Boosters: 163 Km/H
Boost Speed: 708 Km/H
Over Boost: 799 Km/H

Hover-

Speed with out Boosters: 309 Km/H
Boost Speed: 799 Km/H
Over Boost: 790 Km/H

Now the reasoning for the Boost Speed being lower then the OB I believe would have to do with the fact that the OB on the core Kisaragi core doesn't put out as much power as the Hover Legs built in boosters matched with the Pegasus. So I did a second test using the C03-HELIOS core, which has the best Weight to Over Boost Power. These were my results from the second test.

Hover 2-

Speed with out Boosters: 308 Km/H
Boost Speed: 786 Km/H
Over Boost: 856 Km/h

Now these are AMAZING speeds, the only problem is that these were all performed with out any weapons. So sure your fast, but your about as dangerous as one of the Back Street Boys.

Lol yeah, quads are like that in AC4, they get lots of speed just from being four-legged. They only have 1 hover legs though in AC4, which is kind of disapointing...

indeed ive done abit of fine tuning on my cores ive found that the lightest core is indeed fast but ap is shot to hell my core selena only gets 7300 ap to work with very little resistence at best but as i said my ac aries is a rock and about as indestructable as one too ive done a serious mod on my ac kraken and ive arranged all stats to a a to s class core using the sealion hover legs the atlas
core and so on it is almost a ninebreaker class core but not there yet
