The Strahl
A pirate airship owned by Balthier and Fran. They stop in Backwards town every now and then to sell thier...erm...earnings. The offer rides occasionally, but expect to make some side trips on the way. They are pirates after all.

Fran nodded before returning to the bridge. She took the seat next to Balthier and helped him with a few preperations with the Strahl. "I'm having doubts about taking these people with us," she said absent-mindedly. "Those Nobodies that attacked us earlier were most likely related to the children, and who knows what troubles they may bring us?"

Balthier didn’t reply for a moment. He hadn’t gotten much of a rise out of them earlier when he’d asked about compensation, so he was only a little more confident than his viera partner about this whole situation. “That is probably true.” He admitted. “But without conflict there isn’t much excitement.”

She shot an inquiring glance at him before turning her attention back to her work. Balthier and Fran had been partners for a long time now, but the viera still wasn't entirely used to his odd way of reasoning.
"Well...are we ready to set off now?"

Balthier just nodded as a gesture for yes. He glanced backwards in the general direction of the passengers and did and mental head count. A technical-looking mage, an exotic-looking woman, two chatting women, and two brooding teenagers. It was bound to be an interesting ride.

There was a slight jolt before the Strahl was airborne. Sion glanced out a window to see the Aerodome drawing away as the ship ascended into the sky. He turned to Aurume. "We've gotten passage on an airship, but where exactly are we gonna go?"

Nathaniel beamed as the ship made its way into the sky. "This is the first time I've flown," he commented aloud, amused.
Bored of bird-form, Nakia reverted to human form, grinning. "Dat's not true. We've flown many, many times."
He blinked his mismatched eyes. "Oh, quite right," he amended. "This is the first time we've flown in a ship." He glanced at Sion and Aurume with a grin. "Any other time I Shift to something that flies. It's nice to be able to -ah... rest my wings, so to speak." He pointed at the pair of black feathered wings that protruded from his shoulderblades. Nathaniel was completely human, but he loved to have wings shifted on him at all times. Having wings had helped save his hide on numerous occassions, actually. They were small right now because he hadn't wanted to take up anymore room than was necessary. In the blink of an eye he could enlarge them big enough to carry him in flight. Blinking, Sion's question seemed to suddenly sink in. "I too can't help but wonder about our destination." he commented, grinning, looking to Aurume for the answer.
Nakia contented herself to looking out of a window.

“Ah…” Aurume began, trying to think of something. She hadn’t really thought it through. All that mattered was that Sion get the proper training to eventually destroy Kale, and then her job was done. Where he got that training didn’t matter much. “…Well, I don’t know all that much about other worlds.” She lied. “Just what Larsa told me about Ivalice, and what Vlair and Evily and Yuuka told me about their world. But I think that that one is already gone so…I wonder if they’d take us to Ivalice. I mean, I dunno, they might be on the run or something and can’t…” She paused for a second, then turned around and did the same head count that Balthier had just finished. “Speaking of which, did Larsa tell you he wasn’t coming after all?”

At the mention of his name, Sion shot up from his seat. "Larsa!" he shouted, looking distraught. The boy had left, dragging a swarm of nobodies after him too, and he hadn't come back yet. What if the nobodies had gotten to him? Kale probably brought his 'Legion' with him to Backwards Town. What if Larsa ran into them? That was even worse. And Sion just waited at the Aerodome without helping him, but it he had gone out into the city, he would most surely had gotten lost is the maze-like structures. Perhaps he should have asked someone like Evily and Vlair to help him instead of doing nothing. And after the conversation he had with Kale, Sion was really out of it, so he forgot about Larsa until now. In the end, it was all his fault that his friend had been left behind. How could this have happened? How could he have abandoned Larsa?
"Aurume, we have to go back to Backwards Town! Maybe Larsa's still there, and he could be in trouble or something happened and he might have..." Sion couldn't even form real words after that. He was overcome with panic.

“Whoa Sion, it’s ok!” Aurume said quickly. Going back to Backwards Town was certainly not an option. The ship had already taken off, and even if they could have, she was on a very tight schedule. She was a little bit relieved, actually, to have one less party member. Of course she hoped nothing too bad had happened to the boy, but he was a little bit too smart for his own good and that could prove to be a real problem when it came to her hidden alliance. She was already having second thoughts about Page and Nakia… “Larsa’s lived in Backwards Town for a long time, he knows it really well. I bet he just decided not to come or something.” She insisted. That wasn’t really a convincing argument, considering the speech he had given earlier about how much he wanted to come along, but she had to think of something to get Sion’s mind back on track

"I...guess so," he murmured and slid back into his seat. The well-being of Backwards Town was Larsa's responsibility. He probably decided to stay behind in case more Nobodies showed up. It made sense... "Yeah, he must've had his reasons, right?" he turned to Aurume questioningly. But what were they going to do without him? Larsa seemed to know so much about the keyblade and stuff, Sion had counted on the boy to guide him. Now, he's confused and still unsure about what to do or where to go.

She nodded. Good, crisis avoided. "How about this." She continued. "When we land, I'll call Backwards Town. That way, we can make sure he's fine."

Aurume smiled warmly. “You worry way too much about other people, worry about yourself. Speaking of which, do you feel like telling me what happened back in Backwards Town? You were really upset…”

Page frowned. "A friend of yours was left behind?" He looked at his Djinn, who was still content to just watch the world from her window.
She felt his gaze on her and turned to face him, eyebrows arched delicately. She already had a good idea of what he wanted her to do, but... "What ah you lookin' at me for?"
Now that he had her attention, he looked at Sion, grinning. "If you'd like, I could have Nakia go to him now. That way if he'd still wish to come, she could bring him to the ship with no problem."
Nakia let out a small sigh. The other boy - Sion - wasn't the only one who worried too much about other people...
