Well, I got a sewing machine for EASTER... Which, obviously, was months ago... But ever since I got it, the darned things been giving mee HELL!... It doesn't work for me! I know it's not a problem with the machine, but a fault of my own, I just can't figure it out... So, if someone could help me...

Well, everytime I try to use it, the thread jams around the bobbin thing... And if I don't catch it in time, the fabric gets eaten, too... Or if I fix that, it doesn't sew a straight, even line... it looks like the thread breaks, but more continues... I've tried messing with the bobbin tension, and making ABSOLUTE sure everything is in right... But I can't figure it out...

Any suggestions?

Well if you have the manual that came with the machine you maybe able to find something there. I was going to say that perhaps it was the tension but you have already checked that. This may sound silly but make sure you use strong thread. My friend had a similar problem once and it was that the thread she was using was so fragile it would fray easily inside the bobbin causing tangles and for the thread to snap.

First and most important is making sure your thread is threaded through your machine right, including your bobbin. Also you need to check your bobbin it might be the wrong kind! I've had that happen before and it ate my really expensive material. >_<' Honestly if it continues you might take it in to have it looked at. It could be a problem you CAN'T fix yourself.

Also , you must be using a poly-cotton or poly thread. COTTON THREAD WILL BREAK !!!

My initial issues with my first machine was a mix between the tension, the thread type I was using and the direction I put the bobbin in. You need to make sure that when the thread is being pulled out of the bobbin that it is going in the direction it is being pulled, and not backwards. It actually can double loop while you're sewing and tangle, pulling in your delicate fabrics and absolutely ruining them. crying
