What are some good examples that you can think of where the Goth culture shown in modern media. And I'm not just talking about hearing The Cure on the radio. I'm talking about seeing, even small things that other "normals" wouldn't really notice, in music or movies or shows that resemble at least some elements of Goth.

Easiest one to point out: Bauhaus playing "Bela Lugosi's Dead" at the beginning of the movie, "The Hunger."

Well, I remember a few members here dig The Sandman of Neil Gaiman's, who apparently partially based the main character's image of Dream, off Robert Smith and Peter Murphy (among others I can't remember?).
And wasn't it here that I heard about Gilmore Girls or so, mentioning deathrock? O_o I wish I could see that, lol.

Yep, that's right. He's mostly based off of Peter and Robert and a character in one of them, the one with the teeth eyes, is basically an exact image of Andrew Eldrich. And I really want to see that episode! O.o

Not sure if that counts. sweatdrop Also, since you mentioned the Sandman, in the comic of the Crow the author based the character mentally off of Ian Curtis and physically off of Peter Murphy.

Oh god, I remember reading this article two years ago and freaking out that they mentioned Siouxsie and Paris Hilton in the same sentence. Very disturbing... Mainstream examples of goth culture? Pretty much every cartoon I see now has at least one ugly mall goth. Not to mention the amount of times I've seen Siouxsie and Nick Cave on soundtracks and tv.

lol, I remember that too. Speaking of Paris and Siouxsie....
I just remembered that Robert Smith is supposed to do a duet with Jessica Simpson. I wonder if that will surface. As disturbing as that sounds, I'm actually really looking forward to that for the sake of odd unlikeliness.

The only person involved that's ever mentioned it is Joe Simspon. Although he does have quite the history of dodgy collaborations, so you never know.

Hmm, there was some german movie, I think it was called Gegen die Wand or something like that, I watched a while ago. One of the main characters had a big poster of Siouxsie on his door, and they played Temple of Love in the movie too. And there was some other movie, can't remember it's name, it was pretty crappy though, but in the final scene there was a guy who was wearing a ASF t-shirt 3nodding

Oh, well then that's good news too, lol. xd I just remembered my sister was watching the movie Notes on a Scandal (I haven't seen it). She told me there was one scene where the main character points to a Siouxsie poster and says "Oh, we worshiped her!!" xd

Creator God I was just watching some Fabulous Life Of... crap on VH1, about billionaires, and they played snippets of a Cult song, and Pictures of You during a segment on JK Rowling. lol I get bored and watch that when I get home from school sometimes, theres a lot of variety musically on those shows. Catches me off guard sometimes. The Cure, Siouxsie, and Joy Division (mostly just the rythm to Love Will Tear Us Apart) are more common on shows than other goth acts.
