Greetings and welcome to yet another lesson from the self-proclaimed "Esteemed professor of psionics", me. I'm Nick, and I'm going to be teaching my lovely psionic students out there how to project your mind from your body.
There is no question, this will be hard. Not all of you will be able to do it. And I will be dealing with a hell of a lot of theory that's possibly going to make a few heads spin.
People, if you can survive this, then I will have little left to teach you. Now, let us begin.

Section one: Energy
Many of you psions will have thought about the nature of energy, but many more won't. In this chapter I'm going to deal with a lot of higher-order physics, but bear with me. It's crucial that you have at least a basic understanding, or you'll wind up fusing your mind to the internet in painful ways.
Now, let us begin.
If any of you have followed physics all the way to the end, you would have been given one of my favourite secrets. Sound, kinetic energy, thermal energy, light... all are forms of energy. And when you crystallise energy... you get mass.
Why is this relevant to dissociating our minds from out bodies? Well, it's something like this.
Everything is made of energy. The spirits around us, our souls, the chair you guys are sitting on... and our minds. Our minds are made of mental energy, or psi. And this is why what I'm about to reveal to you is possible.

The end result of what I am going to teach you is going to be this: You will be able to uncouple your minds from your bodies at will and transport yourself like this to wherever you want.
Uncoupling
Don't be fooled; your body won't be left as a comatose lump on the floor. You will still maintain contact with your body, and simply opening your eyes will break your link with wherever you were.
But this doesn't mean it's all visualisation. Energy can travel at the speed of light - 300 000 000 metres per second - so the short gap between your mind and your body is nothing. Unless you drift off to the stars... then it might take you a while to get back. But I wouldn't advise doing that, since space is largely empty nothingness.
Now, how to uncouple:
Some people can do this instinctively, so it's pointless for them to read this.
But for you others... It's hard to describe. But you have to sorta gather all of your 'aura' and your will up into one central location - your brain makes a good spot, since the energy concentration won't screw you up - and push yourself out.
It's hard to describe, and even harder to do.
Visualise a series of locks down your arms and legs, encasing your mind's presence into your body. Then visualise a key unlocking all of them, and your mind-presence leaving.
Or try whatever makes sense to you.
Go ahead, give it a try. I can wait.

Wandering
So now that you're free of your body, how the hell do you move? Well... If you were smart enough to bring your wings along you could use them.
Or you could just craft some for yourself using psi. Remember, your mind has infinite potential. Once you're a little better at this, you'll find that you can just will yourself to fly around. Or your soul-wings will tag along anyway.
So, go for a wander. Don't do anything stupid, though.
But this is what makes me glad that I am a psion. Who else can dance among the lightning bolts, who else can glide on the winds of a hurricane?
Who else can do that all whenever they want, without their body losing touch with the real world?
Nobody.

The internet
The internet is a huge resource to normal people, and those poor, poor people who cannot step out of their bodies at will. But by now, you have all been doing this for ages... I hope. So the World Wide Web is about to get a whole lot wider.
The internet is a series of wires, computers and satellites, all connected by... you guessed it... energy. Which means it's a natural, easy conduit for our mind-bodies to travel along.
The best way to go and... 'visit' somebody is to talk to them on MSN. Only have one window open at a time, or you might go the wrong way.
The screen provides a natural way in, as you're already being exposed to the energy. For all I talked about matter being energy, not having to convert makes life much easier. Cars can go offroad, but onroad is five times as easy.
Follow the electrical signals coursing from your target - they'll be the ever-so-stronger signals.
And... well... watch your inertia when you come out the other end. I've barrelled straight through my sister on numerous occasions. It's embarrassing.
