Every night I thank God for my family, friends and my boyfriend. The typical stuff. Occasionally when I feel like getting into details and thanking him for EVERYTHING [which I really should do more often] I thank him for like, the freedom we have in Canada, and like education and stuff.

I thank God for giving me my family and friends. And I especially love my little cat, eventhough it's just "a cat" ^^"

The Kaptain I thank my gods for my computer and internet. No really, I do. Your gods also don't claim to be living, so how do they give you stuff?

I could just very easily say "prove it" and lead into a childish discussion. Instead, I'm going to use an ananolgy (yes, another one). You say my gods don't claim to be living and so can't give me stuff (strange seeing as you don't know who the gods I worship are). I could easily say that god and Jesus are fictional characters in a book so how can they give you stuff? I wouldn't say that though as it'd be just a tad offensive.

Its weird, but I thank God for all the challenges He gives me. I am a firm believer that suffering is the best way to learn about this world, so, while I hated facing the things I have and still do, I know that I will only grow and become a greater sign of His love.

I agree with this one! People ask all the time, if God loves us so much, then why does He allow us to go through hard times...well, so that we can grow in faith and be strengthened. We can find a new side of God that we hadn't experienced before. Love is the reason He allows it.

And I practice a form of paganism mixed with another religion where there is AT LEAST one living god (no, the other religion is not one which involves the 'one god' from christianity, judaism or Islam).

MotherSky I thank God for my life, however good or bad it seems to be. The greatest gift he's given me is the ability to Love. Salaam~ And thats a great thing that not many people know how to do. Jesus told us to even love our enemies. Even the unbelievers can love their family and friends, but how much love do we show of God when we can also love our enemies? So, yeah...even though I struggle with that sometimes, I'm thankful for it too. And the way we get that overflowing love is to spend more time with God and experience His love.
