Now. I know what you're thinking. He's going to tear this game apart.
Not necessarily.

Runescape 2

Runescape 2 is an online adventure game, which supports Free and Premium servers.
It can be found Here.
Free servers have a decent array of activities, but if you want to get the most of it, you can pay about $5 and play on the premium servers, which has more content.
You create an account, which is one character. Name it, give it a password. Then enter the game, and customize it's appearance.
There is only one race, Human. You can change the Hair type and base clothing, and the hair, clothes, and skin color.
You begin on Tutorial Island, where you walk around, talking to NPCs, who teach you the basics of using items, skills, the map, and other things.
There are many skills, which you get better at as you use them. They range from combat, to magic, to simple things like cooking or woodcutting.
Now, this system governs everything about your character. Getting your skills up is essential to getting a more powerful character. There's not much else to it.
You can, however, focus on the non-combat skills and use them to your advantage, skipping out fighting anything, and gain some money.
Although it's simple, it isn't very deep. Every player in the game can generally get every skill maxed, so once you do, everyone is the same, with the exception of equipment in some cases.
There are quests, but they aren't exactly original. Simple stuff, but it's something to do other than skill grinding.
Combat is simple. Right click on an enemy, and your little character will start swinging, or casting, away. Rather slowly. But still.
Magic is used with Runes instead of Mana, and each spell requires a certain amount Runes to cast. So make sure you have a healthy amount, or you're you can't cast anything until you buy or make more.
You can also use bows and other weapons, but they generally all act the same.
The game has a nasty reputation because so many have walked away disappointed. But you have to remember, it IS a browser game that you can play for free, not a retail MMORPG.
Most of the population isn't very helpful, either.
It's a simple game to keep you busy when you have the time.
Nothing too fancy, though it does require some work.
Try it out, a good amount of people do enjoy it.
6.5/10 (Free)
7.0/10(Premium)
Not necessarily.
