The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
(For the PC)

This game is a single player Role Playing action game for the PC.
It kind of reminds me of Unreal, but with much MUCH more depth and no guns or aliens.
The game is very large, and takes a while to install, especially with the expansions.
You play the role of a prisoner who is supposed to shape the destiny of the world or something, I wasn't too interested in it, to be honest.
You select a Race (Argonion, Breton, Dark Elf, High Elf, Imperial, Khajiit, Nord, Orc, Redguard, and Wood Elf) and Class. There are too many classes to mention, but each of them cover the entire spectrum of RPGishness, so you'll find something that fits you. If, spectacularly, you don't, there is an option to actually MAKE your own Class from scratch.
You also choose a Sign, which gives you an ability or two.
You are released and given citizenship, and are basically told, do whatever the hell you want, but don't get in trouble with the law or we'll cart your a** back to jail.
The game looks decent, the characters models are pretty ugly though. Monsters, diverse, but uninspired.
As you journey, you gain skill points, and when you gain enough, you are given a notice. Once this is given, you must sleep in a Bed for about 24 hours (you can rest in safe areas for X amount of hours) and when you awake, you gain a level up.
Equipment and items and very diverse. Almost every single object in the game you can pick up, and, most of the time, steal from others.
Every character, you can kill.
Every bit of land, you can travel there.
It's basically a giant fantasy sandbox.
Abilities and Magic are, too, diverse, but I never really used them. They seemed too clunky and useless.
Combat was the major flaw for me. You can just sit there clicking, hacking away at an enemy, constantly missing as he tears you apart, draining your fatigue and making you fall down. It's frustrating. Once you get decent items, it isn't as bad.
Everything is detailed, and the world feels alive, But sometimes you just feel lost with the main story and what you're really supposed to be doing.
There's an application which lets you edit every aspect of the game and create your own content, but if you don't have some sort of Programming degree, it's very confusing.
I say, try it out.
7.5/10
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
(For the Xbox 360)

Capitalizes everything that was wrong with Morrowind.
The storyline starts you off as a prisoner again, but you are told by the King that the fate of the world and blah, blah, blah in your hands. Let's go pickpocket some folks. twisted
The Races and Class are generally the same, with the option of creating your own Class, choosing it's specialties.
The Graphics are AMAZING, character models are great, sound is great, and gameplay is much more streamlined and easier.
Getting around is simple, by going to your map, and basically clicking GO HERE, so you won't have to romp through miles of woods.
Combat is absolutely fun and addictive. You can attack and block with the push of a button, and it makes the combat seem more real. Magic is also really useful this time around.
Though many aspects of Morrowind are still here, they are just polished to near perfection, and much, MUCH more has been added alongside it.
You can buy it for the Xbox 360 and PC, and you will love it.
MANY hours of gameplay will keep you hooked.
